RidgeView High.

I stare up at the huge building in front of me with a mixture of emotions. The top one being nervousness.

My short, one month summer, was anything but fun. Since I was in a recent car accident and got all of these injuries and the fact that my parents are very over protective, got me put under 'house aresset'. This meant that I couldn't leave the house unless some one was with me. So while all of the other teens my age were partying away, or hanging around at some sunny beaches with their friends, I was stuck at home.

Sure, I had cable, my own laptop, a few books- I hate to read, so that one doesn't count. But those things can only get you so far before you get bored out of your mind.

Lane and Tori also left for their universities, which left me being the oldest kid in the house. And trust me, younger siblings can be so damn annoying sometimes, even though they appear really cute.

On the more positive side, I lost my crutches two weeks ago. Yeah, I still have my leg brace on, but at least I don't have to walk around with those sticks everywhere I go.

So basically, I had the worst summer vacation imaginable. Waking up in a hospital, losing two years of your memory, and being trapped in your house aren't really enjoyable.

If you haven't guessed it already, it's the first day of school.

And I'm freaking out.

"Crystal," Leslie tugs at the sleeve of my red shirt, breaking me out of my thoughts. She gives me an annoyed look. "Come on. You've been standing here for like a whole minute just staring at the school."

I give her a panicked look. "Shit! Lee I can't do this. Please.." I give her my best puppy dog look, hoping that maybe she'd let me leave and just go home. I seriously don't want to go. I feel like a new kid coming to a new school in a whole new place. But that's not the case, 'cause these people have seen me walking through these halls for three years and they know me. But I don't know half of them, even though I used too.

Lee shakes her head. "Nope. Nu-uh. Look, everything is going to be fine, lets just go."

She heads off towards the parking lot where everyone else is. They're probably talking about how their amazing summer breaks went or uniting with friends. Having no other choice, I follow- or more like limp with my leg brace- behind Lee. We weave through the crowd of students to wherever she is taking me. I see a glimpse of straight black hair and freeze.

"Misty!" I call out, rushing towards where I saw the hair that can only belong to one person I know. My best friend. I abandon Lee completely and finally reache her. "Misty," I say tapping her shoulder. She's with kids that I don't know and a few who I remember as the 'it' people.

I expect her face to brighten, for her to break into a large smile, to give me a huge hug. But not this. She turns around with a deadly glare on her face and she scowls so deeply at the sight of me that I can't help but shrink away. "What do you want?" She snarls at me, her dark eyes narrowing dangerously.

My mouth forms an 'O' at her attitude. Misty is never rude to me, sure we do joke around some times, but that's only for jokes and this time her face looks deadly serious.

"M-Misty?" I ask, more hesitantly.

She rolls her eyes at me and examines her nails. "What do you want?" She repeats again in a even more harsher tone.

Before I have the chance to reply though, Leslie is in front of me. "Lay off her, wont ya? You already know what happened to her. Jeez," She sneers at Misty.

"Boo-hoo. So what she lost her memory? It was her fault anyways for dr-" Before Misty can even think to say anymore, Leslie grabs my hand and pulls me away.
