Part Summary: Everyone knew Fred Weasley, the cocky, confident, Gryffindor beater and prank extraordinaire. Everything was pretty damn perfect, until he meets a girl that he cant keep secret anymore.

Fred was laid across his bed, his limbs dangling off either side and his face in the pillows.

He couldnt, for the love of Merlin, stop thinking about (Y/N). He was completely infatuated with her; her playful attitude, the mischievous glint in her beautiful (e/c) eyes, the way she swung her hips when she walked, the list could go on and on. He couldnt stop staring at her whenever she was in his sight, he studied her every move when he could; he wanted to know everything about her and yet she was still a mystery to him - he knew just as much about her now as he did when he first saw her.

The more he thought about this, the more disgruntled he became. He let out a pained groan - gaining the attention of his twin, who was writing out some notes on their new pranking ideas. George frowned suspiciously, putting down the pencil and paper to swing his legs around the side of the bed. Fred, whats up? He asked. It was more than obvious that something had been bothering him this past week and his brother wasnt giving him any answers. He had a feeling it was to do with that girl, he wanted to know what could be making him like this - she really must be something.

Fred shook his head in response and huffed. But, this wasnt the answer George wanted. He stood up and jumped on the bottom of Freds bed, bouncing a few times before landing - shaking Fred about in the process. Alright, thats enough now. Spill. Tell me about her.

There was a muffled sound from the pillows that would sound like gibberish to anyone else, but his twin knew when his brother was denying something. Come off it, Fred. I know somethings up, and Ill bet ten galleons that its to do with that girl. Youve been acting weird since, and I want you to tell me - no excuses! He argued, crossing his arms in determination.

Fred sighed and turned onto his back, then decided to pull his pillow onto his face. I dont know whats wrong with me. He mumbled from under it. George gestured for him to go on, crossing his legs to get comfy. Shes driving me absolutely mad, she is. Aha! George thought; he knew it was something to do with the girl. Like the first time I saw her I thought she was pretty, then she saved my arse from Filch which was great and all, but then she just- s-she I dont know she just made me all awkward a-and stuttery and I dont know why! He growled in annoyance and turned back into his stomach to groan into his pillow again.

Georges eyes widened, was it possible that Fred had fallen for someone? Freds liked girls before, and of course there are plenty of girls who have a thing for the twins, but Freds never actually fallen for someone before. This was more serious than George thought.

After a few moments of silence, George cleared his throat. So er whos the girl? If she was getting his brother to fall for her shes got to be some next level witch. That, or shes slipped him a love potion but hopefully the latter isnt the case.

Shaking his head, Fred grumbled, M'not telling ya.

What? Why?

Because.

Because what?

Because y'might not like her. Fred concluded, if he liked (Y/N) as much as he thinks he likes her then he wants his twin to like her too, but he had a gut feeling about Georges first impressions when he finds out.

What d'you mean? George shuffled closer, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. Why wouldnt I like her?

Doesnt matter. Fred replied shortly; this was a lot more stressful than he thought it would be.

Fred, George pleaded dramatically, just tell me who it is. He begged.

Tucking himself further into the pillows, Fred scrunched up his face and blurted out her name.

But, of course, George couldnt hear him from under the pillows. Whats that? He asked, getting closer.

(Y/N) (Y/L/N).

George sat up, having heard him properly. Who the hell is (Y/N) (Y/L/N)?

Whos that? Cant be in Gryffindor, right? I wouldve heard of her then. Hufflepuff maybe? I dont know a lot of them-

No.

Then which?

There was a long pause before George started pestering him, again; question after question on repeat - and becoming increasingly annoying until Fred cracks.

Fred. Fred, just tell me which house. Fred. Fred. Fred. Fred. Fre-

Bloody hell, George, alright! Its Slytherin, okay? He announced in frustration; it became silent quickly as George processed the information, his face frozen. Shes in Slytherin. Fred sighed, bracing himself for his brothers reaction.

George took a little longer to process before his answer, A Slytherin? He repeated, his voice sounding shocked and maybe a little disgusted. Youve been flirting with a Slytherin? Of all people Fred, why would you fall for a Slytherin? Merlin, Fred, this is how youre gonna get yourself hurt! Shes probably just stringing you along, y'know that dont you? Shes just gonna-

Shes not like that, George! Fred argued, sitting up to face him properly.

And how do you know? Huh? How do you know shes not-

She isnt like that! Shes not like the rest of them s-shes just different.

George couldnt believe what he just heard - how cliche his brother sounded. Different, oh yeah, of course she is. Shes different. He criticised, his voice laced with sarcasm as he exasperatedly threw his hands in the air.

She is, Fred insisted as he began to get even more annoyed. He wasnt even sure why he was defending her - an almost stranger - against his twin. He wasnt sure why he was so certain that she was different; she just felt special to him. She was something new; like an undiscovered land that he desperately wanted to explore, to seek out every flaw, every secret; he wanted to map out every part of her being and declare her as his greatest discovery.

George sighed, wondering what he should do - should he dismiss this whole situation until his brother comes to his senses? Or maybe help him? He could just tease him about this for the rest of forever, that sounds fun. But honestly, he knew the answer already. Okay, he began hesitantly, okay, Im gonna help you, with whatever. You wanna get over her, go out with her, stalk her - doesnt matter, Ill help. Fred looked up at him, relief and hope flashing across his face. But first Im gonna need you to tell me everything - and I mean everything, Fred.
