Chapter 2-Awoken

Tami's POV
I shrieked slightly as I opened my eyes quickly in fear and shock. I'm sure my heartbeat could be heard miles away by now, and I was almost drowning in the ocean of my sweat. Guess what?

I just had another nightmare.... Again.

And to make matters worse, it was the same old infuriating and God damned dream. I was so pissed off. But, I don't wanna talk about it yet.

Its been three days since I was admitted to this annoying hospital. Three days of awful air freshener and insane nurses. I've been in a fake coma for a while now.

Yeah, you head that right, FAKE!

And if you're probably thinking about the crazy woman that stupidity ran across the road to get hit by a car, then wow, you're such a genius.

I don't care if you saw that as sarcastic, really.

To be honest, the impact of the car on my waist actually hurt a lot, surprisingly, and I soooo hadn't seen that coming. I thought human cars were as light as rocks, really. I guess humans weren't as dumb as I thought.

Oh great, you've probably concluded that this the female Sialan from Siala, your universes next door neighbour who was unjustly locked in  dungeon for seven years and now on a mission to regain her lost glory, right? Well guess what? congratulations, cuz you get right!!

Please don't ask how I became human. I'm from earths parallel universe, not  from planet Mars, yeesh.

I hear my door cringing open and my creepy doctor walks in with a red head. I call him creepy because he smiles like one. I just don't get why he keeps grinning almost every time. Hey, are you a clown or something? Heck, even clowns wear masks.

The red head is probably the person that you thought about now. The eccentric Catherine Hamilton!....who has swollen eyes with dark rings around them. Gosh, when was the last time you had some eight hours sleep girl?

Other than that, I find her quite pretty. Skinny and pale faced, but pretty. Did I mention that I hate red hair?

They walk up to me and Catherine gives me a huge grin.

"How are you felling now miss Rollins?" My creepy doctor asks me.

"Creeped out, but fine" I responded with a grin.

Yes! I had succeeded in getting that stupid  smile of his face, wahoo!

"Mrs Hamilton is hear to see you. I'll just leave the two of you at it" he said  after blinking twice and checking my heartbeat. He bowed slightly to both of us before leaving us alone. I could hear him sigh as he walked out of the room.

"Thanks for getting that smile of him, I was starting to get really creeped out" she whispered as she sat down on a nearby seat.

"You're welcome"

We both laughed. I was starting to like this woman already.

"Name's Catherine Hamilton. And yours?"

"Tami Rollins"

On how I got the name? Terrific. I saw a bubblegum brand named Tami on a billboard, and I heard the name Rollins from some guys talking about a wrestling match. I think it had a Seth in it to. Anyways, very constructive of me, isn't it?

"Tami? That's actually the name of my favourite bubblegum"

Oh great, how nice.

"Uhh..."

"Anyways, I'm really sorry for not coming to see you yesterday. When I heard that you'd woken up, I was soooo happy. My blood pressure had practically risen overnight"

"Its okay"

"So, have you called any members of your family?"

Bingo, perfect timing. Drama Queen mode, activate.

"Actually... I...I don't have a family" I sniffed. "My parents died when I was very young in an accident. I'm an only child so I have no siblings. I was actually running away from my cruel aunt before you hit me" I explained trying to make my voice croaky.

"Oh...what about friends then?"

" I have none"

"So you mean you're all alone?"

"Y...yes...I'm homeless, jobless, famililess. I have no where to go and Im so confused"

This would really be a good time for some fake tears to come out now.

"Woah. That's disappointing. So...what are you gonna do now?"

"I really don't know. If only I could find a place to stay first, then I could start life from there"

God,I sounded like some damsel in distress.

She kept silent for a while, as I crossed my fingers in nervousness. Please let her say yes, please please please...

"Okay then, why don't you come stay with us for the meantime, until you find your footing again"

"Yes! Yes I would  love that" I turned and held her hand in excitement. But my mood suddenly changed as I remembered.

"But what about your family?"

"I live with just my daughter and maid, I'm sure they'll be okay with it"

"And your husband"

She kept silent for a while.

"He's away" she finally responded with a fake grin.

"Are you sure about your decision? Its really okay with me if...."

"No! There is no way I'm abandoning someone in need. You need my help now more than ever and I'll be more than glad to help you Tami. Plus, I owe you this for hitting you with my car"

I grinned widely and made to hug her excitedly when a sharp pain cut through my waist. I yelped in pain and laid back almost immediately with her help.

I think drama mode was starting to tell on me

"Don't stress yourself too much Tami, you don't have to get all excited, its my pleasure to help"

"I think that's a great idea, thanks"

We both laughed.

"You can move in anytime you feel like"

"How about now?"

She smirked.

"Then be my guest"

I smirked back in response. Step one of my master plan achieved. Now for step two.

My journey on this weird realm, was just about to get exciting...
