Freddy had wearily dragged his fork along the surface of his plate. His mom prepared a good breakfast that day, he was happy he'd gotten up early enough to eat it. She'd made pancakes and served them with fresh fruit, the starchy pancakes and strawberries tasted great together! But his stomach just didn't seem to agree. Maybe he felt sick because of the food, or maybe it was because of that looming presence next to him. The presence that couldn't seem to shut up— he detested it. The way it just watched him.

"Freddyyy!~" The brunette squeezed his eyes tight, trying his best to ignore the jet haired boy beside him.

"Freddy! Please stop ignoring me! I said I was sorry! Freddy!" He'd shot the opposite a glare as he'd clung to Freddy's arm.

"Fre-" Freddy couldn't get the words out. He was startled out of his own little world by the sight of his mom before him.

"Sweetheart! Sorry I took so long! I couldn't find your pills! Took me a while to remember I'd left them on the bathroom counter." She had slid 2 white capsules across the table towards him.

Freddy hastily grabbed the pills(along with his cup of orange juice). He was almost ecstatic about taking them! He couldn't wait for the presence besides him to disappear. He didn't want to see that pathetic, pleading face any longer.

"Bye Fred." That was all Freddy had said as he popped the pills into his mouth, swallowing them down with his juice.

"FREDDY! Freddy! Freddy please I'm s..sor-" Fred couldn't even finish his own sentence.

He felt pain shoot through his whole body. It hurt so fucking bad, Freddy had been doing this to him for years but it still hurt like a bitch. The pain was excruciating. He wanted Freddy to know this. He wanted to scream bloody murder. He wanted Freddy to piss himself over how loud and ear piercing his screams were. But of course! As always! He couldn't speak. He opened his mouth and not a single sound came out! Nothing came out. Nothing but garbled glitching nonsense that you'd need binary code to probably understand.

Freddy was used to the static noise, he didn't even bat an eye as it got quieter, then louder, then completely and totally stopped. Freddy turned to his side. Fred was gone. He wasn't there clinging to his arm. He wasn't there begging or pleading anymore. He was just gone. Leaving Freddy to indulge in the sweet silence. He finished his breakfast in peace, practically scarfing down the rest of his pancakes and chugging his juice fast enough to give anyone a bellyache.

The brunette gently plopped his fork, cup, and plate in the sink. Giving them a quick rinse down and scrub. Placing them on the drying rack.

"Aw, sweet pea you didn't need to-" Freddy gave his mom a warm smile before talking over her.

"You've helped enough, it's okay!" Freddy slung his blue book bag over his shoulders.

"I love you mom!" and with a quick peck to her cheek he was out the door.
