"YOU'RE NOT REAL! You're not even supposed to exist!"
"You're living a lie! You can't run from reality forever!—"
"SHUT UP!" Freddy had screamed this in his head of course.
"Hey— are you okay?" The soft tone that Fox had used made the brunette melt with guilt.
"Me? Y-Yeah in fine— I'm fine!"
"You dropped these!"
Both Freddy and Fred paled as Bonnie held out the bottle.
"Ah! Thanks! These are for my... allergies! Too much forest.. you know? I'm.. gonna.. g-go for a walk—" With that Freddy slipped out the door. Ignoring Bonnie's skeptical look.
"That bottle clearly said brexpiprazole.." he'd thunk before completely brushing aside the thought.
"Fred! What the hell is wrong with you! Leave me alone! I swear I'll use force!"
Fred scoffed.
"What an empty fucking threat! Can you come up with new material already?!" the shadow had snarled
"You don't get tired of ruining everything, do you Fred?" The opposite released a choked out throat sound.
Did he.. ruin everything? Was he just that annoying that him merely asking if Freddy would let him sing was enough to anger him? Fred bit back his emotions, he couldn't cry now. Not when control was so close in sight.
Fred forced out a laugh. It hurt him to make the noise, his vocals felt dry. And his heart felt hollow.
"I'll never get tired of it. I always get what I want!" And like that he'd started to attack Freddy.
Not with his fists of course!! Fred would never hurt Freddy physically, he'd be a monster if he did that. No.. he attacked Freddy with his own thoughts. His negatives ones to be specific.
"I'm stronger than you, you knew I'd get control eventually!"
"Quiet.." Freddy hissed.
"You know that it's not my fault that everyone leaves you right?"
"I said be quiet!" A thousand thoughts raced around Freddy's head at once, he had a headache brewing.
"It's yours. You drive them away yourself. You're a bad friend."
"SHUT UP!" Freddy was crying.
"It's your fault that I'm like this, you know?.." Freddy felt his heart drop, Fred dipped into the thing he was the most guilty and regretful of.
Freddy regretted turning Fred into what he is and it always seemed to tournament him. Even when the two were getting along, it was just always on his mind.
Freddy allowed himself to slowly but surely loose his grip, he wanted to be left alone to cry. He couldn't bare to see Fred's face any longer. He felt anger towards himself and Fred. It was hard to explain, he just allowed his mind to drift away into an inky black world.
Fred's world.
...
Freddy was gone now.
...
Fred started to move the brunettes body about, just like a rag doll.
"Ugh! Damnit! Stupid body... stupid Freddy.. stupid NATURE!" The shadow abruptly stood up on two shaky legs, irritated by the sensation of forest brush against Freddy's err.. his skin. Fred grabbed his chest, it ached.
"I'm doing this for us.. okay? I'm sorry it had to be this way." Freddy never responded to him when he did this. Fred knew he wasn't there but he hoped this time it'd be different.
"I love you."
...
Nothing.
Fred scoffed once more, making his way back towards camp. To his fantastic luck he'd managed to catch Freddy's slowly worsening headache. He wanted to cry out at how sore he was, but he made his way back inside anyways. Pretending like nothing happened at all. Pretending like his heart wasn't being squeezed with pity and self hatred.
Maybe he was a monster after all? Maybe Fred was just as repulsive as Freddy thought he was...
