Old outline for a Greenflame fic

when kai gets his true potential, he realizes how importent lloyd is, yeah? so they become closer friends because of it. when the ninja and wu later get caged by pythor and stuff, and lloyd has to come to save them, kai is the only one who has full faith in him, rather tjan the other way around. ooh what if instead of lloyd telling garmadon to leave, he has garmadon get the skeloton army while he "stays put and waits" but yeah yeah nya calls and he ende up going. canonly the skelotons and garmadon arrive just in time. keeping the part where lloyd unlocks the cage as its sinking into the slither pit and saves them, adds a hug from kai. garmadon leaves yada yada pythor takes the fangblades and when lloyd is trapped, kai is the most worried about him after. so wu almost falls, lloyd calls on the intercom about pythor, lloyd distracts pythor until nya the samari arrives, pythor jumps off, yada yada. the ninja plan to go after pythor to oroborus canonly. instead of kai telling lloyd to stay behind, he tries to convince everyone to either let him come along or kai stay behind eith him. kai stays behind stubbornly while the ninja and wu go with samari nya to the bitten bus. wu goes in alone for pythor as canon, and lloyd convinces kai to fly the bounty to oroborus. lloyd and kai attach the bountys anchor and bring the part of the bus with everypne in it to oroborus. lloyd and kai leave the bounty and go with the ninja at ororborus and they watch sensei get eaten with pythor, yada yada. anyways the ninja fly away from the devorerer and the bounty is destoryed yada yada. kai comforts lloyd throughout all of this mess. not romantic yet because ages and stuff, we'll get there. they all make it to that small sand area thing while the devororer leaves and stuff. jay wants to give up, kai gives the talk and stuff. lloyd feels safe if kai is there. somehow glide or skip over the part where kai has the idea to lure the devororer to ed and ednas junkyard and tornado of creation it up. it gets to the part where theyre allll in ninjago city, lloyd with kai instead of nya. they try fighting he devororer but eventually they have to give garmadon the weapons and distract the snake. canon canon its destoryed, wu is back and garmadon takes off eith the weapons. have lloyd agree with kai on everything and kai protect lloyd at all costs throughout to establish a strong bond.
    skip to them looking at the small place to live, kai and lloyd are viturally inseperable, best friends and they care for eachother. they take the bigger property but lets pretend they DO have the money for it, maybe skip the small one altogther?? dunno yet. anyways no day jobs and the ninja start to train lloyd. kai mostly, and when kai teaches lloyd, he seems to understand it better and improve faster.
    so the ninja are out and abour somewhere else for whatever reason, and lloyd stays at the house, nearly gets kidnapped by scales yada yada. when they return and wu and nya have lloyd safe, kai is the most worried and relieved that he is safe. the ninja decide to have lloyd be trained at darreths dojo cos why not, so they go there and yada yada.
    anyways they end up chasing after garmadons ship with the pirates and even kai agrees to lloyd staying behind, because he cant face his father yet. waaay too soon. anyways theyre fighting and lloyd drops in and kicks a small amount of butt, kai thinks its awesome and cheers him on as they fight the pirates. remember garmadon and snakes are locked away. lloyd does spinjitzu for the first time breifly, kais proud of him.
    the pirates get arrested, garmadon takes off in the ship while telling lloyd to give up before its too late or something. kai comforting him and brings his spirits back up afterwards.
    while kai is training lloyd at the dojo, they get tge letter invitation to go to his old school as a trap, we know this. kai gets super worried about lloyd while theyre trapped in the room with the teachers while lloyd is with the students.
    anyways they escape as normal, lloyd convinces the others to join his side, and they all destroy the evil ninja. lloyd and kai hug afterwards.
    fast forward past some stuff that doesnt help greenflame at all, and the ninja plus lloyd are spying on garmadon as he talks to the serpentine about his plan to revive the grundal. they try to stop it, but lloyd stays behind. this is neccisary so he doesnt become a baby or something. anyways they chase the serpentine out with the golden sarcofagas or whatever and lloyd follows them. now theyre all kids lol.
    lloyd brings them their weapons at buddys pizza place or something, and they go to the comic store to learn more about the grundal. lloyd enters the competition for the light swords, it gets dark and the grundal appears before that. side not obviously kai has complete faith in lloyd winning.
    just as theyre cornored, and lloyd is behind the desk hidden tenporarily, wu and nya pop in and toss the ninja the ageing tea or whatever. they use it, and the grundal is gome, ninja grown, and... lloyds an adult.
    now we can FINALLY gt to some greenflame planning here.
    the falcon shows the ninja that garmadon and the snakes are at oroborus, yada yada they all enter the time travel thing, just the 4 ninja, lloyd stays behind. kai is immediately worried.
    we skip a loot to exactly when they arrive back in the future. kais worried bc lloyd isnt there and they were supposed to be training him. he walks in, all is good. kai hugs him.
    fast forward to when tjey g0 to the musium to destory the live stone warrior toys from the devororer venom. lloyd joins because hes grown now and stuff.
    they destory the toys as usual, kai and lloyd helping eachother mostly. anyways the ninja and lloyd who is now part of the ninja when i describe them from now on, they go to sensei wu after he runs after the last toy. he introduces them to misako, lloys mom. lloyd initially leaves alone, mad. kai follows him to talk to him or something idk.
    misako finds them by the sinkhole, a bit farther away from it than canonly. theyre talking, and lloyds calmed down a little. misako talks to them all and tells the story yada yada.
    the giant stone warrior barges in and kai charges at it. lloyd screams no or somethinf and is overall terrified and worried, as are the others. kais sword is brokena nd hes hurled back at them. they continue the fight until lloyd has the idea od paper beats rock yada yada. only kai joins him in the vents.
    misako finds them in the room, the stone warrior does the falling in thing, the end. obviously not the whole end, duh.
    anyways, the ninja are training in the dojo and see on the news about the "earthquakes" putting holes in ninjago. they go out and start doing the hero thing, yada yada. after they save that one lady from the hole she started sinking into, they talk about how there might be more stone warriors. kai and lloyd give eachother a worried look.
    i want the fight with the giant stone warrior to be a sort of bonding moment for grown up lloyd and kai, starting what will eventually become a spark, which will lead to greenflame.
    anyways, the stone warriors arrive, and the ninja get the news lady to tell ppl to evacuate via ngtv building roof, blah blah they get out just in time. kai and lloyd fight against the stone warriors together while everyone else focuses on evacuating the people.
    canon skip to when the bounty isnt flyable and theyre on the edge of ninjago i guess, with all the sand and stuff. anyways they talk and misako tells them of the temple of light, and they sail to the dark island. kai and lloyd stick by eachothers sides throughout all of this.
    while sailing in a storm they run into the starteeth as canon. lloyd and kai work together usuaing spinjitzu ro remove them from onboard, while the others (seeing a pattern here) hold that rope thing attached to the sail or whatever. idk how ships work at all.
    canonly when things are calm they have the giant hole and they have to get the water out of the bottom of the ship.
    ive decided to skip the visit to zanes dad bc nothinf happens that could help lloyd, kai, or greenflame in any way. it centers far too much around zane. have a character mention later that the event happened, just dont do it. also his dad is now with them for future reference. i almost forgot.
    anyways theyre on the island, and the ninja have to go minus lloyd to find the temple of light. kai decides to stay behind with lloyd. he refuses to be seperated from him. this is the beginning of hinting at the spark starting soon. once the sparkis started, however, things eill have to move fairly fast or itll seem *too* dragged out. happy middle, rememeber.
    off track, oops. kai and lloyd stay behind while the other 3 ninja look for the temple of light. the two talk and have meaningful conversations possibly, leading for a spark. anyways, the ninja return with the news of the temple being spotted and them being seen.
    they all load into the new vehichle, lloyd and kai sit next to eachother in the back. they head towards rhe temple of light. they leave behind the vehichle at the bottom of the mountain and use nyas samari suit to go the rest of the way, kai and lloyd staying close by eachother.
    kai controls the suit while the others hold on, lloyd the closest of course. they reach the top of the mountain and go on hands and feet to the real top, where the temple is. lloyd and kai climb side by side. im feeling that this scene in the temple will start the spark.
    they reach the temple and lloyd knows what to do. they all stand on their markings or whatever and lloyd strikes the bell of peace or smthn. during lloyds floating and spinning in midair thing, kai calls out his name.
    anyways, the stone warriors arrive and they all fought them. kai and lloyd naturally work together to destory some of them. they have a flow, and it works well. theyre happy.
    skip to when misako is describing her plan to get the helmet of darkness from garmadon with the ninjas help. obviously lloyd cant come along bc he cant face his father too early. kai wants to stay behind with him, and misako agrees that she doesnt need four fake stone warriors. lloyd thanks him.
    fast forward, lloyd and kai are talking and they spot garmadon in his suit holding the ninja in nyas vehicle-drill thing. lloyd runs forward and uses his powers, releasing the ninja and nya and misako. kai runs up beside lloyd. i know im getting specific here so ima try and loosen it up a bit.
    garmadon canonly climbs out of his destroyed suit and walks forward a small bit. lloyd and kai are in fromt of him. the others are telling lloyd to take the shot, yada yada canon stuff. kai steps back as lloyd starts making his power-circle thing.
    canonly he cant, and kai grabs his shoulder ro steady him. nya calls them as the stone warriors arrive and they jump in the vehicle and nya speeds off.
    they make it to the clock, and fail to find the perch before the stone warriors get there, they put it on the perch at the last second only to fail, blah blah blah.
    nya gets kidnapped as the ninja and wu and misako fall into the ocean. obviously theyre safe, they swim out quickly and kai immediatly makes sure lloyd is safe, before having a mini-freak out about his sister being kidnapped. also jay is upset but who cares this is a greenflame fic plan.
    skip to when they return to zanes dad and stuff. lloyd is upset and rhinks he cant defeat garmadon, so kai cheers him up and convinces him he can do it. thats when te spark starts, though nobody realizes it yet.
    they go to garmadons camp, find it empty, follow the tracks to garmadon and the stone army. lloyds dad stays behind at the camp. skip past the fighting evil nya part, its boring for greenflame.
    anyways they reach garmadon, the weapon fires as lloyd tries to stop him. hes thrown back to the ground where the others are. it fires again.
    they all watch in horror as the overlord merges into garmadon, lloyd and kai holding onto eachother subconciously.
    garmadon-overlord leaves theu the portal thingy.
    somehow during the fight, lloyds leg breaks so the canon leg break can stay. anyways, now theyre all upset and kai is trying to comfort lloyd.
    theyre all talking about how there isnt any lesson to be learned except that evil has won and all that, and lloyd stand up, kinda, and talks abour how he changed from a bratty kid to now and all that canon stuff. this returns everyone elses hope and spirit, and kai smiles at lloyd, who returns the smile. this feeds the spark just a little. lloyd ends with sayinf how kai especially showed him the light.
    the falcon leads them back to the temple of light, where they all stick their swords into the holes and stuff, and that golden suit appears. lloyd gets in it and it obviously works. kai smiles.
    misako makes the remark about knowing how lloyds leaving the island, but not them. the 4 headed dragon appears, tada. this is literally canon im not kidding.
    they fly to ninjago, and try to get lloyd close while the overlord attacks. kai stays on lloyds golden suit while the others do their canon thing.
    so canonly everyone else is on the dragon. lloyd gets close, gets hit, suit falls over and one arm is off.
    the ninja drop down and help lloyd and kai, who are now all standing on the mech and trying to avoid nyas shots and the stone army getting closer.
    wu, misako, and zanes dad appear on the dragon with darreth as the army freezes. all hail the brown ninja guys. anyways kai supports lloyd on the way up as the army fights.
    now the ninja and lloyd are making it up. cole gets hit first, then jay, then zane. finally kai has to stay behind to hold them off so lloyd can get to the top. just before they seperate, kai kisses him. no time to talk to think about what just happened, lloyd has to move and kai has to fight.
    a ninja never quits, lloyd doesnt give up and fights the overlord/garmadon with everything he has, and that giant gold thing appears and engulfs everythinf dark.
    details: lloyd turns gold and the overlord flies to the side, lloyd is now riding a gold, kinda whispy dragon thing. the overlord swallows it, buuuut we know the rest from here by heart.
    building's gone, and everyone slowly gets up. lloyd isnt there at first, and kais the first ro ask where he is. lloyd flies down on his GOLDEN. DRAGON. and kai immediatly hugs him once hes on the ground.
    lloyd hugs back. in the background jay and nya are reuniting i guess. who cares.
    garmadon, good now duh, comes out of the rubble and suprises everyone. lloyd, wu, and misako all hug him, but lloyd returns to kais side, hands connecting. garmadon smiles at him.
    that ends the first part. i do plan to continue it onto other seasons, but for now im going to enjoy the show. edit, ive decided to not continue this onto other seasons, instead ending it with the end of s2.
