Meanwhile in the Iark valley, the prisoners walked along a bridge built on a boiling lake. Tanya hobbled because her leg was injured after being wrapped in chains yesterday. After reaching the edge of the lake, they climbed into the valley using wood arranged in such a way and drawn from above. All of that was built with the sweat and blood of slaves from other regions.

After all the captives went up the valley, they rested because it was already late. Daekan warriors feast, burn wild pig and drink wine. The prisoners sat not far away, only staring at the grilled meat with a rumbling stomach.

One drunken soldier approached the girls and teased them. They screamed when the soldiers began to touch their bodies. He then approached Tanya who sat quietly with a blank eye. The naughty hand of the man was about to touch Tanya's breast, suddenly there was another hand holding him, the hand of a man with mask.

"Let go!" The naughty soldier jerked his hand.

He was about to touch Tanya again, but was again prevented by a masked man.

"Mugwang!" rebuked General Mubaek. "Do you forget, we are forbidden to touch these girls before being chosen by the King?"

Mugwang snorted while going away.

"Yangcha, eat your dinner, I'll take care of them," said Mubaek.

Yangcha, the masked man nodded and moved away. He took a piece of pig and then sat alone in the corner of the tent with his back to his friends.

Mubaek distributed grains of raw wheat and small pieces of meat to the captives who immediately finished eating them in one shot. When giving food to Tanya, the girl just kept quiet. Mubaek put the food in Tanya's hand. After Mubaek left, the girl sitting next to Tanya secretly stole Tanya's food. But Tanya didn't budge.

Fyi, Saya in this FF is not Tagon's adopted son, but Taealha's cousin and just an assistant of the king. Some reader maybe misunderstanding 😆
Also Eunseom and Saya is not a twin brother. Let's say they are just doppleganger 😅
