It was a quarter before three in the afternoon when the rain suddenly poured.
"Umulan pa ng malakas kung kelan pauwi na. Ang hirap na naman makasakay nito." Isabel murmured.
Upon leaving the vicinity of the building, her seatmate suddenly asked the girl a small favor.
"Okay lang ba if makisabay ako sa payong mo?" Ferdinand politely asked.
The girl didn't mind sharing even if her things might get wet. After all, she is curious to this guy and this will be her chance to have small talks to him.
"Bakit kasi wala kang dalang payong?" Her bossy side suddenly came out of nowhere.
"Hindi ko naman alam na uulan pala. Ako na magpapayong satin." The guy offered.
She noticed their height difference, even she is a tall girl, the boy has more good physique and plus points for being genteel. The walk didn't become awkward since the girl is quite a good talker and the guy answers her questions profoundly. Talks about their schoolworks, likes and their experiences prior being blockmates for the first time covered their entire walk.
"Ang tibay talaga ni sir kanina. Biruin mo yun grabe na yung ulan ayaw pa rin magpatinag sa kakadiscuss."
"May itatanong pala ko tungkol sa discussion kanina. Pansin ko andami mong notes eh."
"Ay! Hindi ka lang nakikinig eh! Send ko na lang sayo notes ko. Tinitignan mo lang yata ko kanina 'no?"
The guy suddenly blushed. This girl is really something, something good and different.
"Saan ka nga pala uuwi?" The girl asked since they reached the gate of the university.
"Hatid na lang kita sa sakayan mo." The guy nonchalantly answered.
She is not sure if it was a good thing that she found a ride home early. This means that they need to separate paths now.
"Dito na lang ako. Teka, paano ka nga pala. Mababasa ka. Wala ka ng payong." De Leon worried.
"Okay lang ako, malapit na ko dito." Ravena assured her.
"Oh okay. Bye. Ingat ka!" The girl smiled.
"Ikaw din. Chat na lang kita pag nakauwi na ko."
She knows that his home is not near that what he tells her - maybe around 15 minutes walk. So the question is why does he opted to accompany her?
