It's been about three months since I came back and I gotta say, It's been great. Well...more or less. Yesterday, I got my grades in the mail and I passed everything with flying colors. Besides, English. Suprised? So am I. But much more pissed. "I don't get it! How the hell didn't I pass?! I tuned everything in, I made sure it was punctuated! What happened?!" I rant before slamming my locker and turning to my awesome boyfriend, Dustin. Again, suprised? So am I. Well, not really. He shrugged and smirked. "I could tutor you if you want?" He brought me closer by the waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I have a feeling we'd be doing more then just English if that happened..." Dustin shrugged and said,"True." I giggled and Laura pushed us apart. "Can you guys not do this around me? We talked about this!" I laughed and Grace nodded in agreement. I felt Dustin's fingers weave their way through mine and smiled to myself. He's really been an awesome boyfriend.  Like one of those boyfriends you wish you could have. "Laura's right. We can't have you two snogging while movie weekend's at stake here! We have to come up with a plan." I sighed and shook my head, leaning against my locker. "Grace, for the last time already. I'm grounded. Which means, no movie weekend." I said for the billionth time this morning. You see, the thing about Grace is, she's very persistent. She's never gonna stop 'til she gets what she wants. Now, that's good sometimes and bad for others. Gracie groaned and rolled her eyes. "Jaz, I told you already. There's no way you're backing out. I didn't sit through two hours of Carebares and My Little Pony for my little sister to go to some stupid sleepover for nothing. So, stop being a fucking pessimist and help come up with a plan." I rolled my eyes and stuck up my middle finger. She did the same back and Laura's face brightened up like a lightbulb. "What's up with you?" Dustin questions his twin. She smirked. "Oh nothing. Just the fact that I have the best idea ever!" She squeals. Me, Grace, and Dustin glanced at each other then back at her. "Well?! Don't leave us hanging! Spill it!" Laura nods and cleared her throat before speaking in a posh accent. "Well, I, Laura the great, have come up with my best plan yet!" Dustin rolled his eyes. "Laura, I swear to Matthew Lush himself if you don't tell us what this so-called 'brilliant' plan is I will-"
"Okay, okay! Geez, Gracie, I was getting there! How about you work for Mr.B for the grades?" She asked turning to me and Dustin again. He wrapped a protecting arm around my waist and said,"Work how?" I looked up at him and smiled reassuringly before kissing his cheek. I felt him relax a bit and turned in enough time to see Laura roll her eyes. "Relax, Romeo. I mean, she can like clean his class or something. Don't be such a perv." She scolds playfully. He blushed and mumbled, "Oh." We giggled and he blushed deeper. The bell for first period rang and we made our way inside. "Oh! Look who it is! The nerd herd!" Jake yelled, causing his stupid friends to laugh. Dustin tensed a bit but I dragged him by the arm to the back of the room. Jake only does it because he knows I won't let Dustin fight back. If I do, Jake'll end up just like Tyson-a busted lip and three stitches above his right eyebrow. Trust and believe, I don't give a shit if Jake gets hurt. The thing I do care about is: what will happen to Dustin and Laura if he does react. Principle Wapston already said if Dustin has one more problem he's getting expelled. On top of that, Dustin's mom said that if he get's expelled they're all moving back to Colorado. There was no way in hell I was letting that happen. "Leave it alone, Dustin. Don't let him get into your head.." He sighed and nodded as we sat down. "Good Morning everyone! " Mr. Bostwick chirped. The sluts-I mean girls-In the class got into flirty positions and giggled while waving to him. The guys, me, Laura, and Grace just gave a simple 'hey'. "I hope everyone had a good weekend.." Hardly, unless you count getting my ear yelled off. Thanks for that by the way. The jocks and cheerleading squad hooped and hollered while us 'nerd herd' kept quiet. Mr. Bostwick smiled and continued. "Well, today we're gonna be reading some Shakespeare-" Everyone groaned this time and he chuckled. "You didn't let me finish..." That shut everyone up quickly. "As I said before, today we're gonna be reading some Shakespeare. But I figured since it's nice out we can read it on the front lawn. Sound good?" Everyone gave a unique way of saying yes and he nods. "Right, there's blankets already set out on the lawn so now all you have to do is grab your copy of Romeo and Juliet and get into your groups that are on the board in the front." We all stood up and made our way to the tiny corkboard that held a pink paper with our names scribbled on it in black pen. I took a deep breath and held Dustin's hand. Bostwick wouldn't be evil enough to put me with people who hate me right? He's seen who i'm comfortable and uncomfortable with. He should know not to put me with him. "Looks like we get the freak-" Before Jake could even finish, Dustin had him pinned to the ground and was punching the shit out of him. "DUSTIN! DUSTIN STOP!" I yelled, helplessly trying to pry him off of Jake. It took me, Laura, and Grace just to get him off. Low and behold, pretty boy ran in between them and spead his arms apart. Great timing, dickbag. "Hoffman! Daniels! Office, now!" Dustin growls and kissed my head before walking out and slamming the door behind him. Jake stood up and spit the blood about an inch or two from my foot, pushing past me while I glare at the back of his head. What a tool. Sometimes I wonder why I was ever friends with him in the first place. Laura and Grace ran over and hugged me. "Oh my gosh! Jaz, are you okay?!" Laura asked me worried. I plaster on a fake smile and nod a bit but stopped myself and frowned, shaking my head. They gave me sympathetic smiles and rubbed my shoulder. My fists clanch and my jaw crunched. I hated sympathy with everything in me. "STOP! I DON'T WANT YOUR SYMPATHY, OKAY?! I GOT ENOUGH OF THAT TO LAST ME A LIFETIME!" Their eyeballs buldged, along with everyone else's.  I rolled my eyes and ran out. I couldn't deal with all of this right now. This, on top of college research, and what i'll even do after is driving me insane and I just need a minute to myself. "Jazmine! Jazmine, stop! Wait!" I rolled my eyes and ran faster into the forest. Once I couldn't run anymore, I swiveled around and glared at him. "What?! What could you possibly want from me?!" Mr. Bostwick took a few cautioned steps toward me and I took two more back. "Listen, everything's gonna be fi-"
"Fine?! Really?! How?! I'm not in Washington anymore which means I'm more then a thousand miles away from Weldon! I miss my Aunt! I miss my old house! My boyfriend is about to get expelled and move back to Colorado with one of my bestfriends and I probably will never see either of them ever again! How does that classify as fine?! No disrespect sir, but I don't even know you and you don't know me so why don't you march back to the school and go lie to another girl and tell her everything's fine! Because for me, it's fucking not!" I sobbed. I didn't mean to yell at him. Hell, I barley yell in general. I just had so much pent up emotion. Without warning, he pulled me into his chest and I was frozen. But only for a second before I cried into his chest. He pushed my face up a bit and wiped the tears away with the pad of his thumb with a soft smile. I only just realized his glasses were gone so I figured they must've fell when he was chasing me. His eyes were the most enchanting icy blue, emerald green, and steel grey I had ever seen. The fact that they changed colors only made them more mesmerizing. He slowly leaned in and I don't know why..I didn't push him away. I actually leaned in as well. When our lips were merely inches apart and I could feel his cold breath on my face he whispered,"Kellin." I frowned and furrow my eyebrows together. "W-what?" He smiled. "Call me Kellin." I nodded with a slight smirk before he collapsed his lips with my own. It was like all my worries melted away. And for a moment, just this single moment, I forgot about the world around us. I forgot about D.C., I forgot about Dustin, I forgot about my college problems. It was just me and Kellin. I'm not gonna go all cliche on this but there was something there. Something that was missing when I kissed anybody else. It was...different. What am I doing?! Am I really comparing my boyfriend and my English teacher right now?! "Jaz! Jazmine! Come back! Jazmine, we're really sorry! Jaz, is that you?!" Me and Kellin jumped apart and I blushed. I then heard him say four words that i'll never forget,"Wow...that was...amazing." Shit.
