Of course, as expected, nothing lasts for forever. My water ran low so I had to go out and grab some. I luckily didn't live too far from a convenience store. I put a gas mask on that I had used as a decoration forever ago in my room, put on a leather trench coat, and removed my blockade. I ventured out to the living room, grabbing the crossbow that was mounted above the tv on the wall. I figure why make a bunch of noise when you can use something just as lethal with reusable ammo. I hung it over my back, tucked my pocket knife in my combat boots, and removed the blockade to the front door. I went outside to find that it seemed normal almost, I mean quiet, but normal. There was debris every minutes of my walk, but it honestly wasn't the fallout I expected; that is until I encountered my first ghoulie. "Gotta get milk." He said, stumbling forwards.

"What?" I asked, confused. He turned towards me, his face bloodied, and bared his teeth. He began running towards me. I quickly removed my crossbow from my back and loaded it. "Stop right there." I said in a commanding voice. Of course it wasn't that easy. I went to shoot the crossbow but it got jammed. The ghoulie was in point blank range to me. I smacked the crossbow a few times with the heel of my palm but to no avail, it didn't shoot. "God damn it." I pulled another arrow off of my back and charged at the ghoulie, stabbing the arrow through its gaping open mouth. It blabbered in pain.

"Milfk! Gotta geft milfk!!" He ran off, a trail of blood following him. I sighed, wiping the blood and saliva from my hands and threw the crossbow down.

The crossbow hit the ground with a clatter and the arrow shot from it. "Are you fucking kidding me! Now you work!!?" I shout out, instantly ducking down after hearing cars. "Shit-" I dived behind a deserted car, watching as the vehicles passed me. I followed them from afar, making sure I wasn't spotted, only to end up at my old high school. I played the role of James Bond while skimming the wall that was nearest to the football field. The jocks all channeled together, one standing up on shouting unintelligible things. He sounded like a toddler learning to talk. The jocks hurrah'd at his blabbers and got hyped up.

You've gotta be fucking kidding me, we are running on total anarchy already and we are only a month into the apocalypse. Our parents fucked the world up, let's fuck it up more. I turned on my heels, deciding it'd be better if I left now before someone saw me. When I turned a cheerleader stood behind me. "What the hell are you doing alive, stalker?" She asked, giving me the glare you give someone who spits on your car window as you are driving.

"I could ask the same of you, skank." I replied, rolling my eyes. She shoved me up against the wall, a knife at my throat.

"Say that again and you won't say another word."

"S-kan-k." I replied, annunciating the word. I shoved her back and tried to pull my bow off of my back but she tackled me. She tried to stab me numerous times but I remembered what I put in my boot. I pulled the knife out after numerous tries whilst holding her knife away from me. I swiped my hand up and into her stomach. Blood swelled up her throat and she coughed. It splattered on my face and I nearly gagged. She tried to stab me again and I pulled the blade up, ripping into her organs more. She rolled off and began hacking up blood while laying on her back, unknowingly drowning herself. I stood up, legs shaking, keeled over, and vomited. Then I rushed back to my base, still feeling sickly and reliving the scene that just unraveled.

So how's life in the apocalypse? Totally fucked.
