Jongho - After midnight

It's freezing, the icy cold air pricking your skin and sending shivers down your spine. Your arms clinging around you in a desperate attempt to provide some warmth to your body.

You turn your attention to your shoulder when you feel an arm wrap around you. A feeble smile on your lips as you watch the fingers of the warm hand lightly draw patterns on your shoulder, warmth soaring though you from the delicate action.

"I know it's cold but isn't it worth it." You hear Jongho whisper next to your ear, his hot breath setting your skin on fire. You have no idea how the most subtle of actions can have such an effect on you. But you know that it's only him that can make you feel this way. A dusting of red covers your cheeks, colouring your face as you finally move your head to look at Jongho. Your breath is taken away when you set sight on him. He is completely mesmerising, ethereal.

"It is." You lightly giggle as you lean into him, your foreheads resting together and noses touching as you both smile idiotically at one another.

"Your nose is freezing." Jongho complains but doesn't make any attempt to move away. You giggle in responce, so captivated by looking into his eyes that you can't form a coherent responce... or a sassy remark like you usually would.

You return your focus onto the world around you, pulling away from Jongho a little and shutting your eyes as you take in a deep breath. His arm still settled on your shoulder, keeping you close to his side.

The smell of bonfire in the air fills your senses and you wish you could freeze this moment and live in it forever, regardless of the cold.

The pitch black sky lit with thousands of stars, the iridescent glow of the street lights in the distance, and the feeling of being content, happy with Jongho beside you. It's all you wanted.

After all, you know when you think back on this moment in years to come, you will always remember this feeling. And you're glad Jongho dragged you outside tonight. Your new favourite time to appreciate everything: after midnight.
