SKYLAR'S POV
"What is this place?" I said stepping into a large room as the metal wall slid away.
"A simulation. Its going to simulate a situation where you will need to use teamwork to fight," Richard said. "I'll see you in 2 hours,"
"Hey Richard!" A guy said to Richard while walking towards the room.
"Hey Jeremy. Watch out for her. She's my sis." Richard said smiling.
"So you're Skylar? The one who can shapeshift and control metal?" Jeremy asked.
"Yep that's me! So what's your mutation?" I asked looking at him. He was a little taller than me and was quite handsome to be honest.
"This." Jeremy said suddenly behind me. In one second he was all the way across the room and in another he was back in front of me. "Hold up your hand,"
I cautiously held up my hand with one touch a shock was sent throughout my body.
"Electricity," Jeremy said showing me a small white spark by snapping his fingers.
"Wait," I said. I transformed my body to be made completely of copper. "Shock me,"
He put his hand on my arm and shocked me but it didn't feel any pain. I just felt the electricity run through me.
We both smiled and stood like that until we heard students coming in.
"You know, I'm not qualified to teach this class. I'm only 16," I whispered.
"It's okay. Im 17. We're just extraordinary," He winked.

"So how was you're day teaching?" Richard asked.
"Fine. Jeremy's a cool guy," I smiled at the thought of him.
"Do you like him?" Richard asked.
"What are you even talking about. I only met him today,"
Richard smirked and rolled his eyes.
"So how many students threw up from your flirting?"
"None for your information,"
"Gosh if you like Kristen so much just ask her out,"
"I'll do it when the time comes,"
"If you say so," I said.

"YOU LIKE JEREMY" Julie said half whispering and half shouting.
"God JULIE stop listening to my thoughts,"
"You know I can't help it,"
"Yeah I know,"
"So do you really like him?"
"Well he is sweet and cute."
"Just so you know, I think he likes you too,"
"No. He doesn't. And even if he does, he won't when he sees me in my real form," I said looking at my hand as i transformed it into my real form. White with silver imprints.
"Not all guys look at the looks," Julie smiled. But easy for her to say. She had a beautiful muation of turning herself into diamond and she could prevent any heartbreaks by looking into what other people think.
"It's not like that," Julie said. Gosh I always forget she can hear my thoughts. "Everything comes with a consequence but your mutation is not a curse,"
"If I were to reveal my true form in front of everybody, surely I would be pushed away. If not by other mutants then absolutely by the humans. They fear us"
Julie didn't say anything. Probably because I was right.
"No you're wrong actually. We can change the way how humans think of us,"
"They will never change the way they think about us. To them, we are just a bunch of freaks. So why do we have to protect them from Magneto and his team when they deserve it."
"They don't deserve it. They know nothing. We need to show them that-"
"We need to show them that they are not better than us. They fear will eventually turn to hate. Just know that Julie,"
