C H A P T E R 1

2010

hi, i'm Ella and i'm gonna tell you my story if that's why you're here if not then I'd leave or you'll get a bit bored. it all started in the summer of 2010, I was 9 and had just finished school. I was walking out of school and heading home when these boys tried to chase me.

Boy #1: hey come here, you bitch!!!

Boy #2: get her, beat her!!!

I was running for my life and ran down an alley when I tripped and fell, the boys caught me and beat the crap out of me, I suddenly heard a huge bang and saw the 2 boys laying on the floor. a girl stood in front of me with a concerned look on her face and a skateboard in her hand along with her backpack. the girl helped me stand up and grabbed my bag.

Girl: come on, they won't be out for long, I gotta place we can go

Ella (me): wait I don't even know your name and why did you help me?

girl: my name is Rose, I helped you because you look like you needed it and i like the look of you *starts walking down the alleyway*

Ella: *starts following her* what do you mean by like the look of me?

Rose: I mean, I think you look pretty cool and I feel like we're gonna be best friends, what you doing out on your own anyway?

Ella: I was walking home and those two boys started chasing me, my driver was late and it's not that far so I thought i would walk.

Rose: *stops* driver? what are you royalty?

Ella: no, my mum and dad pushed my brother to become a famous actor, he now is in LA shooting the Flash, he plays the Flash.

Rose: your brother is grant gustin? *starts walking again*

Ella: yeah, my mum and dad got famous off of him and they got a driver to send me to and from school to prevent stuff like this happening

Rose: we're here, this place is basically like my home so please don't judge me

Ella: i'm not one of those stereotypical rich people, I don't judge people by where they live or how much money they have, I judge people by the way they act and you've already passed when you saved my life.

Rose: yeah we should take a look at your bruises and cuts, make sure there's no extreme harm

I looked around and it was a skatepark, lots of kids skating around, they all looked like they could take me out in a second, Rose took me round to meet some of her friends. I met Laura, Sophie and Lyla

Sophie: hi I'm Sophie, I come here twice a week and I'm a beginner skateboarder

Laura: I'm Laura, I come here four times a week and I'm a semi pro skateboarder

Lyla: I'm Lyla, I've been coming her everyday for 3 years and I'm a pro skateboarder

Ella: I'm Ella, I've never skateboarded before, I've always wanted to but my parents would kill me if they ever found me here but I hate my parents so who cares?

Rose: I'm rose, I've been here basically my whole life, started skating when I was four and have loved it ever since, my parents died when I was 5 and these girls have always been there for me through everything and I feel like we've got a new member.

Ella: do you guys wanna come see my house and hangout? Maybe teach me to skateboard?

Rose: I would love to, but what about your parents?

Ella: I'll handle them, I think my brother should be home soon anyway

We went to my house and as soon as I walked in my two cute little puppies ran up to me followed by my parents, my brother and my sister and my maid
Mother: where the bloody hell were you?!

Father: Geoffrey went to go get you but you weren't there?!

Ella: he was late so I walked home

Emma (sister): what happened to your face, *points at blood and bruises*

Grant: oh my god, did you get ambushed???

Ella: two boys chased me and beat me but Rose saved me back there and I am going to be her friend, this is Rose *steps aside for them to see Rose*

Rose: it's really nice to meet you, your daughter is a wonderful girl and I just did what any good person would do

Ella: im go get changed and then she's gonna teach me how to skateboard.

We go upstairs and i get changed into this.

Rose: good enough, alright let's go

That whole summer she taught me how to skateboard and before I knew it I was a pro, I started a YouTube channel to show it off and I got pretty famous for it, more famous than I already was. (Skip to 0.57)

9 years later - 2019

I was now 17 and a famous pro skateboarder, I've worked with lots of famous people, people like, Joe Sugg, Alfie Deyes and my good friend Logan Paul, my parents didn't like it but my brother and sister thought it was cool, I'm still close with Rose, we tell each other everything and she's my best friend, I moved to LA with my brother, sister and Rose.
Ella: I'm going out, be back later!!!

I grabbed my backpack and my skateboard and headed out the door, I was skateboarding down the streets of Los Angeles and I bumped into a group of boys

Ella: sorry, didn't mean to knock into you, kind of in a hurry

Jack: it's okay, I'm Jack, that's a sick skateboard

Ella: thanks, I'm just practicing, I got a shoot a video with Logan Paul next week

Daniel: he's shooting our video right now, Logan!

Logan: oh my god Ella, hey, guys this is the girl I was talking about she's a pro skateboarder, she can do anything on a skateboard.
