One Little Direction

Chapter Fifteen: DNA

{Leigh- Anne's POV}

"What are you doing El?" I ask the child whose lining up her hot chips. Liam, Zuri, Louis, Harry, Jade, Niall, Jesy, Perrie, Zayn and I came out for lunch at Nando's. We're all sharing a table outside the shop but inside the mall.

"Lining them up," Ellie replies and finishes her line before gasping. "But now these ones are lonely!" Ellie exclaims pointing at the end ones. I laugh as she takes two chips from Zuri's plate next to her and places them on hers.

"Ellie!" Perrie exclaims and we all laugh. Ellie then realises the new chips are lonely so she shoves as many as she can into her mouth at once. Perrie covers her face with her hands and we all laugh at the adorable child.

"Daddy," Zuri tugs at Liam's sleeve. "Can Ellie and I go and play there?" Zuri asks pointing at the fountain. Liam nods and Ellie and Zuri get down and run off to the fountain where we can still see them.

I look around the table. Dani, Ella and Eleanor are all at work so Liam's got Daddy Day Care, Niall has the day to himself 'cause his girl is at school and the rest of us got a day off from studio work.

"Oh f**k." Louis mutters and we all look at him. What's 'oh f**k'? Louis points at the fountain where Ellie and Zuri are splashing the water with their hands. What's so bad about thaaaaaaaaat- ADEN- JAY. 

I look at the asshole sitting next to where they're playing. Urgh! Get away from them you asshole! Wait! 

"Is that Molly?" Jesy points at the red headed girl next to Aden. Harry's eyes bulge out of his head at the sight of his ex- girlfriend with my ex- boyfriend. 

Aden and Molly are just sitting there chatting happily and haven't even noticed Zuri and Ellie next to them. Plus, surely they wouldn't know that the kids next to them are Zuri and Ellie. I think they met newborn Zuri but neither of them met Ellie. They were long gone then- but there's media I guess.

"Just keep an eye on the kids." I mention and everyone agrees. I don't want Aden and Molly to ruin Zuri and Ellie's fun. 

I just watch Ellie and Zuri playing around with the water. Ellie and Zuri get up onto the edge of the fountain and stand there looking into the shallow water. It'd be so funny if they fell in right now! 

Zuri jumps down and so does Ellie and they both sit there splashing the water again, talking I presume. I have no clue what two- year- olds talk about with each other, probably Bob the Builder and The Wiggles. 

Molly, whose closest to the kids, looks across at Ellie and Zuri and then back at Aden before looking back at the kids. F**k! Please tell me she hasn't recognised them. I watch Molly shake her head and continue to talk to Aden.

"Do you reckon they'll be friends forever?" Louis asks nodding at Ellie and Zuri as they splash the water. That'd be cute if they did stay best friends.

"Hopefully." Harry says and we all agree, then laugh as Ellie accidentally splashes water onto Molly. Molly looks at Ellie who just snaps her head away from Molly's direction. Cheeky little bugger. 

I watch Zuri and Ellie both get up onto the edge of the fountain again and they start talking about something, then Ellie starts flinging her arms around and Zuri starts yelling. Okay, now they're arguing about little person issues.

"What are they doing?" Harry asks and then suddenly Ellie pushes Zuri into the fountain but then slips, falling herself and both of them making water splash up onto Molly and Aden.

"Oh shit." Zayn jumps up and the rest of us sit there laughing or in shock as Zayn runs over to the children.
