We drove and drove for a couple of days with no destination in mind. I asked once or twice where we would go, but Tyce never had an answer for me.
It wasn’t until we were approaching the Ohio area where we stopped and got out of the car. We’d been sleeping in the car, getting food at drive thrus, stopping for few bathroom breaks, and by then, my back hurt.
But we didn’t want to risk being seen. However, no one far from Washington would have seen any news story about the fire. We just couldn’t risk anything going wrong.
We stopped at a motel for a night and I was thrilled to be able to sleep in a bed again. It was that night before I went to bed, him on the couch, I asked the question I had been waiting for the answer to for days.
“Where should we go?” This time when I asked, I desperately wanted an answer. I hated not knowing what was going to come next.
Tyce ran a finger through his hair. He stood next to the sofa sleeper in sweat pants and no shirt. He shrugged. “I don’t know, Steph.”
I huffed, pulling the blankets over me nearly fully over my head. I was getting frustrated. “Tyce, we can’t live like this forever. We need to stop somewhere and more than for just a night.”
Tyce sighed. He walked over and sat on the edge of the queen sized bed, right next to where I lay under the covers.
“Steph, I don’t know where we’re going to go. And I know we need to figure it out. But I don’t care where we go. Because as long as you’re with me there, it will be perfect, no matter where we are.”
I smiled at him and sat up to kiss him on the cheek.
“Now go to bed,” he commanded as he walked back to his couch.
“Alright,” I said, and reached to turn off the lamp as he got under his blanket. “I love you,” I whispered as the room went dark.
[A/N: so I know it’s like the shortest epilogue ever, but prologues and epilogues should be shorter than regular chapters, right? But yay! I’m done! Did you guys like the story? Please comment and tell me what you thought of the overall book! It really means a lot to me to hear what people think. Do you wish there had been more humor, or werewolf related things? Maybe a hunt? Let me know below. I will be sure to take your comments to heart when I edit! Also, vote, because I want to feel loved!]
