SCOTT POV:

*THREE DAYS EARLIER*

I watched the car disappear into the horizon. A few seconds without Mitch and i was already missing him. The air was cold, my nose was a little bit red due to the low temperature. Three days all by myself, i better do something before dying of boredom. I dialled Kirsty's number before i knew what i was doing. In these last month we became really attached to each other, it was as if i had known her all my life. I've gotten used to her company and silly advices, to her cute smile and beautiful personality. I was extremely lucky to have her.

"Helooooooo" she said.

"Hi Kirst, want to do something interesting?"

"Sure like what?"

"I actually don't know"

"OMG I KNOW! WE CAN GO ICESKATING!" Her high pitched voice pierced through my ears and almost left me deaf.

"Okay but remind me to be at least 5 feet away from you, i don't want to have ear damage" I chuckled.

"Ha ha" With that she hung up and half and hour later we were on the ice rink, having the best time of our lives. The place was extremely big and well illuminated. The walls were made of dark red bricks and it gave out an idea of an old countryside house, it was beautiful. When we first arrived we spend twenty minutes looking for the perfect pair of shoes, if that's how you call them. Once we were done i set a foot inside the rink and almost fell backwards, luckily nobody was watching. Kirstie as usual laughed at me. We kept chasing each other or even having small races, at one point she didn't see this cute couple holding hands and literally bumped into them making the three of them fall to the ground. I laughed harder that i should, she kept apologising and the couple were clearly angry at her.

"Slay" I put an arm over her shoulders when she was near and we kept skating.

"If you tell Mitch about this i swear!" I couldn't help but laugh, Mitch would probably mock her for the rest of her life. He would make a sassy remark and make the three of us crack up. My mind started wandering through some memories i had with him until i was snapped back to reality by Kirstie grabbing my arm before falling. We both slipped and ended on the corner of the rink, i thanked god that the other people weren't paying us any attention.

"Kirst i swear! If you make me fall one more time..." I warned her while trying to get up.

"Well it's not MY fault you were daydreaming about him!" She smirked when she noticed i was blushing.

"Whatever" I said and threw my beanie at her. It took her by surprised and almost fell again, making the both of us laugh really hard to the point of tears. This felt good.

A couple of minutes later we were having some hot chocolate down the block to warm us up even though we were in the middle of June. People where almost running to one place to another, competing against each other to grab a cab. We, on the other side, were enjoying the moment.

"What do you think they are doing right now?" Kirstie asked.

"I dunno, probably just unpacking stuff"

"Maybe" She looked sideways and stayed like that for a few moments so I narrowed my eyes and tried to see what caught her attention. There was a small shop on the other side of the road that sold antique stuff, the front door seemed rusted and old but it matched with what was inside.

"Do you want to have a look at it?" I suggested.

"Yes please, i think there's cute little lamp awaiting for me over there" I shook my head, paid for the hot chocolate and we crossed the street.

We were welcomed by a small *ding* of a bell when we opened the door. There were a few people inside minding their own business. Kirstie spotted her lamp and went to talk to the owner about it, probably asking if it really worked. I started wandering around the place. There were tall shelves that contained any sort of old lamps, jewellery, toys and even small cars. While i was waiting for Kirst to pay, something caught my eye. On the far corner, an object was glimmering with such force i had to check it out. Just when i was inches apart i realised what it was:

A glass-made Sphynx cat resting on top of a tree branch.

As soon as i saw it i knew i had to buy it. Mitch had been talking to me about getting a cat, specially this kind. He even mentioned a random guy he met on the streets a month ago who offered him one. He would definitely love it. I picked it up and went to the cashier, paid for it and went to meet Kirstie outside. She gave me a knowing smile but still asked anyways.

"Mitch?"

"Yup"

"He's going to love it"

"I know, i just need to find a way to give it to him" She rolled her eyes.

"Because waiting three days is just too much"

"Exactly"
