The Nerd I Loved (Block B Taeil)

Chapter 21

"So .. what are you going to do now?" Dara asked silently. She had gone to my house after I called her over. It was the afternoon and I had gotten home from the science fair.

I stared at the envelope sitting on the table. "I don't know."

All of a sudden, I heard G-Dragon come into the house like he was getting chased.

"Yo, why in a hurry?" I asked.

"I-I have somewhere to take you guys, but first, say bye to dad. Say bye to him well," He told me.

"Um, bye to him well?" I asked in confusion.

He looked down at the floor. "Just say bye to him."

"Okay?" I said rather confused and went to the living room.

"Appa, Oppa said he'll be taking me somewhere, I'll see you later," I told him, going up to him and kissing his cheek.

"Okay, take care and come back quickly," He smiled. He seemed quite normal, but G-Dragon just came home acting super weird.

I got back to the kitchen where me and Dara had been.

"So, should I go home?" Dara asked.

"No, come with us if you want, we just need to go chill at the mall," G-Dragon smiled.

"Okay, I need new shoes anyways," Dara shrugged.

It had been a couple of hours at the mall and Dara had already gone home. It was just me and G-Dragon walking around the crowded mall.

"Hey Chaerin .."

"Did you just say Chaerin, as in my real name?" I asked him in surprise.

He laughed a bit. "I know, I never call you by by your real name. Sorry."

"It's fine. What were you going to say?" I asked.

"Okay, you'll be taking this quite .. I don't know .. You'll freak out .. Maybe this isn't the time .."

"Just spit it out."

"We're not going back home, we're going to live with Mom."

"Wait, what about dad? Why?" I asked in shock.

He sighed and avoided my eyes. "Because earlier today I finally called the cops."

"About what? Why would you call the cops?" I asked.

He sighed. "Chaerin, our parents had gotten separated because Appa is a drug dealer. And that's why she didn't want you near him."

My eyes widened and my heart raced. "You're kidding .."

"I'm not. And the thing is, I knew the cops were going to catch him today so I took you out of the house to avoid such tragedy. I bet it's chaos right now at the house," He said.

"No wonder you told me to say bye to him well.." I whispered.

"And after this, I'll drive us to our mom's house. She already knows about this," He said.

"And I'm always the last to know," I muttered.

"I'm sorry I couldn't tell you before, Chaerin."

I waved my hands in front of my face as tears threatened to drop. "Why though why."

"Because it's life, Chaerin. But sometimes you just gotta keep doin' what your doin' you know," He said softly.

I sighed. "Then can we go home?"

"Alright. To mom's house we go."

"I'm sorry you found out, honey .. This is why I didn't want you to know," My mother caressed my hair when we got home.

"It's okay, I would've rather known the truth. I gained a brother out of it anyway," I smiled at G-Dragon heartbrokenly.

"But hey, at least we're all together now, right?" He said.

"It's true. I haven't seen you since you were a toddler, look at you now," Umma told him, ruffling his rainbow hair.

"And there's some things we'd like to share with you, mom," He said, gesturing me to tell her about the news.

"Oh yeah ... Uh mom, remember how I told you I was going to be in a science fair?" I asked.

"Yes, oh! How did it go?" She asked.

"Umm .. I tied first place.. And this is what I got .." I handed her the letter.

She read it silently, then looked at me.

"Oh Chaerin, I-I don't know what to say. I would let you go study to the U.S. but the first thing that came to my mind is Taeil."

"Mine too, mom. But, me and Taeil.. you see .."

"I know, Chaerin. Taeil's mom has told me what happened. You guys can still get together though, and I know you two still love each other, what do you plan to do?" She asked.

I stayed silent. "I don't know."

"Perhaps .. you can talk to him about this tomorrow?" She asked me.

I nodded. "I'll invite him over tomorrow."

She patted my shoulder. "We'll discuss things."

"I have something to say too, ladies," G-Dragon said.

"Is it a bad thing or a good thing?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Depends on how you take it."

"What is it?" Umma asked him.

"It's something almost as important as Chaerin's situation," He smiled.

"You're going to study in Mexico?" I asked.

"Meh, not studying, or anything to do with Mexico. Maybe I'll be going there since it will be part of my job .."

"Oh, it's a career path? Umm.. Are you going to be an engineer?" Umma asked.

He chuckled. "Guess again."

"A teacher that teaches Korean!" I exclaimed.

He laughed. "You guys won't guess it."

"Tell us then!" I exclaimed.

"Don't freak out, okay?" He said.

"Okay ... tell us," I said.

"Well ... guess who's the new YG trainee?"

Long time no update, I honestly wish I could update more >.>

By the way, this story is actually ending pretty soon, it just has like two-three more chapters left .. Sorry, guys >.<

After I finish this story, I'll try to finish 'Kidnapped By B.A.P.' while updating the other ones .. And then there will be a surprise fanfic after I finish the two stories c;

Only clue I shall give is ... it's a kpop fanfic. (More clues soon and in my other stories!)
