This is another new story, this one is about the anime Fairy Tail. (This is just an Idea I had, I'm not that far into the series, but I know about the Western Continent. So I thought about the possibly f more continents then the two we already know...
The scene opens up to a forest located pretty close to a small village. In that forest was a man walking through. He had black shoulder length hair, with a stubble beard, red eyes, he wore some strange looking light armor, underneath a black hooded cloak, he stood quite tall at 6'6" in height, and on his back was a unique looking longsword with a fancy cross guard.
This man was Solus Rune, a traveler who had came to the village for some rest, but heard they were having some problems with a monster located with in the forest and offered to take care of it. It was a dark peaceful night and was quiet as he continued to search the forest for the thing giving the village trouble.
The forest was quite large, making the task of finding this thing difficult but his train of thought was interrupted by noises coming from his left.
Solus: "Here, it is." he muttered, walking over to investigate. After a few minutes of walking he came to see the beast roaming the forest

The Beast took the shape of a giant gorilla standing at least 15 feet tall, it's skin was covered with dark brown fur, and all over his was some type of black stone like armor.
The beast saw the man who came upon his area, and let out a loud roar of battle and thumping his chest, before charging at Solus.
Solus drew the sword from his back as he dodged to the right, while the big ape sped past him.
Solus: "Bring it, Ape!" he challenged, facing the monster who gave another cry and charged again. With speed, Solus dodged left and slashed at it's leg leaving a cut on it's leg. Solus followed with a slash across the back of it's other leg.
The beast roared in anger, swiping behind itself at Solus, who jumped onto the fist and plunging his blade into it's forearm. The beast roared in pain, trying to throw him off. But Solus held onto his sword with a strong grip as he was shaken all over.
Once the beast stopped, Solus jumped onto the beast's shoulder and slashing through it's neck, before stabbing it in the head, officially killing it.

The next morning, at the village. Solus was seen conversing with the village's elder about killing the beast.
Elder: "I must say, I can't thank you enough for your service." said the elder.
Solus: "No problem, I'm always happy to help those in need." he answered, politely.
Elder: "I see, That is quite a noble goal. I'm glad their are people like you in the world. I hope you find success in your travels, and here, take this as thanks." he said, presenting Solus with a small pouch of jewels, He then took the reward politely and set out for his next adventure."
(Elsewhere in a particular wizard guild)
Back at the Fairy tail guild the guild mates were hanging out, doing their business. Macao and Wakabe conversing, Cana drinking at the bar, Mira standing behind the bar serving others, and as usual the guild's fire and ice wizards were at each other's throats.
