The Reign of Ms. Fuston

Chapter Two

Halli's POV

As I'm hading to eighth hour I start to tense up. I hope Liv and I don't get in any trouble with Ms. Fuston today.

When we walk into class Liv tries to get us seats in the back, but they are already taken. So we have to sit in the front row, rightt i front of Ms. Fuston's desk. Great.

Liv whispers "Do you think she will ask us about our essay?"

"I sure hope not," I say quietly, getting nervous.

After I said that Ms. Fuston walks in and smiles when she sees us.

"Hello darlings. How is your essay coming along?" She asks us.

"Well," Liv says. "It is coming along great so far."

"Are you sure girls, because I think I want your essays tomorrow. Would that work for you?"

"That would be perfect." I say not really thinking about what I just said.
Liv glares at me while I try to force a smile.

Ms. Fuston notices what's happening and says "Will that work for you Liv." 'Can she read emotions to?' I think to myself.

"Yes," Liv says "That would be great."

"Lovely," Ms. Fuston says in a sweet voice.

"Okay class. Please get out you books and turn to the table of contents."

The class yet again looks confused and they all look at Liv and I thinking we will stand up to Ms. Fuston. Liv looks at me with an expression that says 'Don't you dare do it'

I give one back that says 'Come on'

Her expression goes back to normal which usually means that she'll go with whatever is going on.

Okay here goes nothing.

"Ms. Fuston we don't have any books." I say not really wanting to.

Then Liv says "Yeah. We didn't get any books yesterday."

"Well thank you for noticing that Halli and Liv. I would like you two to stay and meet me after class." Ms. Fuston says in her sweet tone. Great. This just what I needed.

Liv and I look at each other with looks that say 'What did we get ourselves into now.'

The rest of the hour is long and finally the bell rings. Everyone almost runs out of the classroom.

But of course Liv and I have to stay.

An amazing way to spend Day 2 of school.

After everyone leaves Ms. Fuston comes over to us and says "I would like you to read these." And hands us the entire Hunger Games trilogy.

Again Liv speaks up firstand says "We have both read the entire trilogy." I nod my head to confirm.

"Well then . You can each write your own summary on six pages of paper this time. But you wll do it individually, not together. Understood."

"Yes Ma'am." We both say at the same time.

"Perfect and it will be due in two days." Ms. Fuston says.
