The Moongrimms

Mylixe wasn't pleased in the slightest that she was to begin training again. Especially because Korban has been appointed to be her new mentor. Mylixe had spent many years of her life in utter agony because of her intense training. This was in hope of one day she could climb the ranks and at least become a subordinate wolf of the Moongrimm pack so she would be fit to rule.

Maybe if she had been focusing on the lessons and not had her head in the clouds, she could be ruling her very own kingdom. But Mylixe was sure she was destined to be a failure to her pack, but more importantly her family.

Kalix, Mylixe's younger, unpleasant, sister had always been better than her at everything and not to mention her younger brother Finch, who had excelled in everything and definitely was Hyde's and Tasha's favourite. Mylixe being the omega, even her awful siblings picked on her.

Mylixe's heart rate quickens, she clenches her jaw and bares her wolf-like teeth. Anger builds up inside her, pulsing through her feeble bones. Before Mylixe can restrain herself, Mylixe's wolf is out, her big paws pound against the moss filled dirt at an inhumane speed. She sprints out of her village straight towards the home of the humans.

Many thoughts raced through Mylixe's mind as she ran away from her home, could she live in peace with the humans? Could she leave her horrible past behind? But most importantly, how will she survive in a place she knows nothing about?

As Mylixe reaches further and further away from her kingdom, all the bottled-up pressure and stress seems to fade away and a wave of relief flows over her. A string of trees line the outer edge of the humans village, Mylixe rests her weight on a particularly strange tree. She feels a slow pulse of energy radiating from it. She feels the rough ragged bark on her olive skin, the intense smell of pine always seems to make her feel at home, sometimes even more alive. Growing up in a massive palace has it's advantages. Mylixe grew up always having to act like a 'proper lady' as much as she absolutely hated the idea of it. That is the reason she isn't too bothered about fitting in, in her mine she might even be more civil than the humans, besides the killer wolf side of her.

Mylixe had carrier her training clothes with her all the way just so she wasn't walking around the town naked, although she didn't see the harm in it. She dresses herself, pulling her left boot on and lacing it up firmly. It had been a while since she had to wear her tattered leather training boots and they seemed a bit too small, maybe Mylixe was growing, just very, very slowly.

She gleefully leaps out the thicket and strides into the streets and straight across the road. The streets are covered with crowds of bustling people, constantly weaving in and out of the small quaint shops that line the streets. Mylixe's ears perk up when she hears a pair of blonde ladies chatting joyfully about a creative art's café. Instantly Mylixe abruptly paces over to the unsuspecting ladies and forcefully demands to know where this store is. The women fearfully point across the street and before they could speak, Mylixe was gone.

Mylixe swings the door open and a bell rings violently, all the silent dwellers of the café avert their eyes to Mylixe and her abrupt entrance. She notices some of them sit quietly drinking a steaming hot cup of coffee and others are hunched over a sketchbook or other type of drawing equipment. Mylixe's face flushes a shade of red and she stares at the ground. She obviously needs to contain her emotions.

But inside she has an intense feeling of joy and excitement. Her mother and father had never let her do any other activities in her spare time besides her ridiculous training. Mylixe's parents didn't want her distracted by anything. But finally, after eighteen years, she can finally do some on her own terms. Growing up she had carved little drawings or patterns into the tree bark of pines that surrounded the Moongrimm kingdom. But behind her parents back she had also drawn things into the dirt or mud in the winter seasons.

Mylixe takes in a deep breath, the smell of coffee ground and ancient books fills her nose. She grins wildly and admires the rows of bookcases spread across the old-fashioned room, a few people glide their heads up and down browsing the wide variety of books. A man from the far corner stands grinning broadly at her, but once she meets his eyes, he glances away quickly. To the left of her, a few children are huddled up on a small couch in front of a toasty fire, either reading or sitting cross-legged and sketching on thin pieces of paper. Further behind them a counter stretches across half the store and two older men are getting served scorching cups of coffee.

Mylixe calmly walks over to the sketchbooks and grabs the largest one she can find. She tries to pull it open but there's a thin layer of plastic covering it. In annoyance, she tears it off completely.

"Umm excuse me miss, you need to pay for that first," and timid boy tells Mylixe. His outfit matches the lady that is serving the coffees. But unfortunately, Mylixe doesn't like being told what to do.
