Demon (King x Ban)

The Death of Meliodas

They reached the demons location quickly, Ban and the other confronting them.

"Who are you?" One of the demons asked, suddenly standing behind Gowther. She had brown, long hair, that was held up in a ponytail, and she was wearing all black. Her dark purple eyes glinted.

Gowther spun around, but she was already gone. And then one of them had Elizabeth by her hair. Though, Elizabeth had been in the tavern.

"Why do you have a goddess with you?" The male hissed, he had short black hair, all black clothes. His eyes were the usual, dark purple.

Meliodas growled, and just as fast, he had Elizabeth back. He'd gone into his demon form. (I MISS KING AAAAAAHHHHH! Sorry... He'll be back soon...)

"We only want to ask you a question." Meliodas glared at the two, watching as four more appeared.

"And what is that, my fellow demon?" The male who had gotten Elizabeth said.

"Do you know King, or Harlequin?" Ban stepped forwards, beside Meliodas and Elizabeth.

"The fairy brat that killed the Ten Commandments, of course. The demon king made sure that everyone knew of his defeat. In my opinion, I don't think that he was much of a big shot like they made him out to be, it was probably all an act." The demon answered, and Ban hissed in anger. "He was part of the Seven Deadly Sins or something... Wait, come to think of it, you look awfully like the sins..."

"Because that's who we are, The Seven Deadly Sins." Ban glared, and the demons chuckled. "Can you bring us to the demon king? Or at least get us into his layer."

"No." The blonde make answered.

"Well then, we'll be going on with our day. Don't wanna mess with Meliodas." The female smiled, and then all six of them disappeared.

Ban frowned, and he turned to Meliodas.

"So what was that other idea you had?" Ban asked.

"None of you are gonna like it..." Meliodas frowned, but the others only waited for him to continue. "I have to die."

"No!" Elizabeth protested.

"Not happening." Escanor shook his head.

"Nope." Ban signed.

Meliodas sighed too. "I'll come back, it's just that very time I die I see the demon king, and I'm in his layer. And then he brings me back, he has too."

"But how will you die?" Merlin asked.

"One of you are gonna have to kill me." Meliodas shrugged.

"No." Elizabeth frowned.

"I'll do it." Ban volunteered.

Elizabeth gasped in shock, shaking her head. "No! We can't!"

"It's the only way to save King..." Diane frowned.

"She's right." Merlin agreed.

"No, we're not gonna kill him!" Elizabeth yelled in shock.

Meliodas patted Elizabeth on the back, smiling. "I won't even be dead, just hurt and knocked out for a few days."

Elizabeth frowned, she nodded curtly and walked into the house after hugging Meliodas. She mumbled something about not being able to watch.

Ban turned to Meliodas, he looked quite troubled. "Are you sure about this, Captain?" Ban asked, and Meliodas nodded.

"As sure as ever. This is for King." Meliodas smiled, handing Ban his sacred treasure. Ban glanced at everyone watching, but he forced himself to focus on Meliodas. (Demons have seven hearts, right?)

Ban visualized Meliodas as an enemy, as he stabbed that enemy once. Ban cringed, but he kept telling himself that Meliodas was an enemy. So Ban stabbed again, and again.

Three hearts... Ban thought, he felt sick to his stomach. Ban felt like he could fell those stabs, the pain, trying to get air into your lungs. But he forced himself to think of King, of how much he had been hurt. And so he stabbed three more times, making six, and one left.

Ban was hyperventilating by now, Meliodas lying still on the ground. He couldn't do it, so Ban turned away, dropping lost vein. He heard the sound of it being picked up, and then the sound of Meliodas being stabbed one last time.

Next thing Ban knew, he was lying in a bed. Ban shot up, looking around. Then he dashed out of the room, and into Meliodas's room. There he was, lying all clean now. Meliodas was still, he wasn't breathing. And Elizabeth sat beside him, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Who was it, that finished it?" Ban asked.

"Merlin." Elizabeth answered quietly, and Ban nodded slowly.

"We'll get them both back." Merlin was suddenly behind Ban, silent as always.

Ban nodded, he knew that already. They were coming back.
