A Kingdom of Love and Darkness

Introduction/ Chapter One

In a dark kingdom long ago. In medieval times. There was a princess named Aurora. She has beautiful thick golden blonde hair that goes down to her upper part of her butt that is curly at her ends. She has glowing bright skin that glows when the sun kisses it softly with the light. She has the smile that you would die for, but also makes you want to smile back. Her personality is beautiful like any other smart and bright young lady. She's only seventeen. She's not like every other princess in your ordinary fairytale. She's her own knight. She hasn't been swiped off her feet by any other prince.
She hunts for her kingdom, she cares for herself and others. For example, she has cared for her father ever since her mother has died when she was ten. He was devastated when she passed. Only forty years old. On her death bed, her one final wish was that Aurora would take care of her father, the kingdom, and pass that down by her kids. Be a hero for her own kingdom instead of people stealing and being like monsters. Which still happened even though she hunted for everyone. And gave the leftovers to the hungry.

One evening, I was coming back home from the hunted and infested monster forest. I brought back thirty deer for the Kingdom with my men on horses. We arrive at the back of the castle really late, basically nighttime.
"Well hello my princess!" the chef smiles. "Oh, deer!" He laughs.
"Oh yeah deer, will it be ready for tomorrow?" I ask with a bright smile.
"Anything for you, deer." He says has he keeps bringing up the joke.
"Ha- Ha I seeeee what you did there!" I laugh more.
"Well go go go to your father he worries about you!" He smiles and starts to clean the deer for tomorrow and the next day by making a big fest for everyone in the kingdom who comes in and eats with us everyday we do this.
I start to go to my father in the big grand hall. That's huger than huge.
"Oh, Aurora! There you are! You've been gone all afternoon you missed supper. Did you catch anything?" He asks smiling.
"Well, I caught thirty deer in the forest..." I say brightly waiting for his response.
"That's gonna feed the whole kingdom for two days!!" He says in excitement.
I giggle "So you're hmmm not mad that I went into the forest so late?" I mumble hoping he doesn't get upset.
"Wait... Into the forest of dar-darkness.." He glups. "And you didn't get hurt especially at night?!" He yells and the room echoes.
"Neither did the men.." I blurted out. Looking down in disappointment.
"Well, as long you guys didn't get hurt, but did either of you or your men look behind you?" He asks nervously.
"Yes." I kinda lied for my part, but a few of my men did kill some trolls and evil monsters of the dark.
"Okay good, go get dressed for bed Aurora. Also, I worry about no man will want to marry your bravery!!" He yells as I run-up to my room.

    My room is with blues, purples, and pinks. My bed is a queen-sized stuffed with feathers, cotton, and more cotton. The bed frame is beautiful black paint, four beautifully poles on each corner that has flowers carved into them. The bedding is furs of bear and some buffalo. Then blanket after blanket of blue and pink. With two big pillows filled with cotton and feathers for extra support. In one corner is a vanity that I only use for my hair. Never make-up, only for special occasions. My face is too delicate for that.
     Then, there's my closet, with so many ball gowns and breathable dresses. Those are my favorite though. I hate the feeling of being trapped by that horrible corset and layer after layer! In the middle of the room, there's a love seat that's perfect for a good read during the sunrise. Then a beautiful table beside it with the same details has the bed frame.
    Then, there's a tiny dresser on a wall beside my bed. It has a jewelry box filled with my mom's belongs. Then a candle holder for me at night. Oh! And I have a double door with beautiful stain glass windows that have also flowers on it. That goes off of the balcony. What can I say, I'm the only kid.

       I start to get dressed in my silk pink nightgown. I have no smock underneath. It's so uncomfortable when you sleep. I go to my vanity and brush my beautiful hair. That turns wavy at the ends. I get up and go to my balcony. I look out at the kingdom. I sigh. "Why can't there be a man out there who would like me and what I do for my kingdom..." I sigh more. I go back inside. I think I hear the door close, but it actually doesn't. I get into my bed, I yawn and go to my side and fall asleep.
