As dawn breaks out from over the horizon, the golden light flashes through the Asterios Palace as it arranges for a coronation unlike any other. The castle servants were busily hurrying up their daily duties to prepare for the celebration that upcoming night. Chatter says that the prince had invited many people of different backgrounds along the Five Kingdoms, giving them access to one of the grandest balls in Fallasian history.
Inside the quarters of the prince, two people were talking. One was a prince of the ripe age of twenty accompanied by his aunt, the Duchess of Killania.
The prince was wearing a neat, tailored suit as his aunt was dressed in body armor with the exception of the famous violet-plumed helmet Virdonian soldiers were known for.
He glanced at a silver body in front of him adjusting his tie and fixing his hair, "Do you think I would be a good king?" He asked directly at his aunt, looking at her from the mirror.
His aunt sighed and said, "I believe that you'll be able to become a good king someday. But try not to aim to become the best, I think it would actually do the opposite. Try your hardest and do your kindest, that's what your father always said to you."
She then walked over to him and gripped his shoulder flashing a rare smile, "Your mother and father will be proud of you." As the prince looked at his aunt, he felt a big grin spread across his face, in which the duchess just raised one of her eyebrows.
"What?"
"You smiled." He answered in a sing-song voice.
His aunt then started to feel a tingle of regret and hid the smile from her face, replacing it with a scowl, "Shut up." She said in a deep and dark voice. The prince laughed in response and turned to face her. He touched his soft, black hair that casually fell to his shoulders and twirled it, one of the things that people can identify if he was anxious or nervous.
"I'm going to the stables. See you in a few hours." His aunt then gave him a hug and proceeded to go out of the room with her metallic boots clanking on the floor.
The prince then walked to a sealed window and opened it then rushing winds came inside the room, blowing away the dark blue curtains. He looked through the window and gazed at the cities below, pandering aimlessly. The cities and its citizens were already working that morning, people walked around the stone streets while guards stand at their post, looking around to solve some trouble stirring up in their designated stations.
As he gazes off in the distance, he didn't notice a person coming inside the room silently.
"What does it feel like that you're going to become king?" The person asked as they approached the prince
He turned around and clasped his pale hands in nervousness, "It's actually really nerve-wracking, but it gives me a little hope cause I know that my family can help me. I mean, I'm still young."
The person then walked over to two, midnight blue accent chairs and invited the prince to sit in one of them. "Do you want some tea or perhaps coffee. I'll call one of the servants if you want a coffee." The prince offered as he picked up a bronze tea kettle and two teacups on a tray from a table and proceeded to put it at a small coffee table and sat on one of the chairs facing the other person.
"You see Donovan, me and my tutor started doing lessons recently, starting at five in the morning and he previously asked me, What will you do when you become king? And so I wanted to hear what you have to say. I mean, you are going to become king, right?" The person said, pouring himself a cup of tea and sipping it jovially, "Ooh what is this tea, is it Earl Grey like the one you're talking about?"
