“You know, now would be the perfect time for a monster to come out of nowhere and attack us, am I right?” Hellboy said. The girl looked at him in alarm.

“Não diga isso!” she yelped. Hellboy looked at her in confusion.

“Abe. I have no fucking idea what she’s saying. What fucking language is she speaking?” Abe studied the girl and touched her arm.

“It appears to be Portuguese.” Abe determined. He opened his mouth to say more when a throaty growl sounded above them. They froze and turned around slowly. The girl squealed and jumped off Hellboy’s shoulder, darting away into the darkness leaving Hellboy and Abe to deal with a ten meter long centipede. It screeched at them. Hellboy was the first to react. He threw the boy to Abe and pulled out a gun, firing some shots at the monster. Dark green blood spilled from the wounds and the monster roared with pain. As soon as the wounds were inflicted, they healed. It jumped at Hellboy, knocking him to the ground. As he wrestled with the beast, Abe called out.

 “What is it!?”

“It’s a fuckin whatcha McFuckit.” Hellboy called back. The thing snapped at his face, hundred legs wiggling and sliding on the wet deck. Hellboy held it away from his face with his arm and jammed the gun it the thing’s mouth.

“Die, sucka!” yelled Hellboy and pulled the trigger. The thing reared up and screeched. Hellboy rolled out of the way before it crashed to the deck again and stilled, green blood dripping from it’s mouth. Hellboy wiped the stuff off his jacket and muttered, ‘Yuck’. Abe poked the thing and it shuddered. The monkey girl whimpered and crouched next to the boy. There were some shouts from the dock.

“Shit, our cover’s blown.” Hellboy hissed and scooped up the boy. The girl took her place on his shoulder and wrapped her tail around his neck. Before he dived over the side, Abe kicked the centipead into the water and Hellboy ran along the side of the ship, jumping onto the dock when he was out of sight.
