Mission goes wrong

A mistake from the beginning

He had faced worse.

Much worse than the current situation.

Infiltrating and investigating had always been his job. And being the keen and the alerted one, he had never missed even a single hint or clue when things headed to a wrong way.

But not this time round.

He had dropped his guard so much that he got blinded by a clear fact, that he shouldn't have brought them to this planet at the first place. Had his sense of danger dulling? Or had he depended on her too much that he forgot to make his own calculation before heading to a mission??

He didn't know...

And he couldn't care...

Right now, the only thing matter is to get help from TAPOPS before things escalated. But how? Their communicating devices had been hacked, and he calling to the outside will alerted the 'enemy' and cost a - no - some lives...

He could still heard his warning. Replaying again and again like an old cassette at the back of his mind.

The words are simple.

"Tell them, and I'll kill them all, Kaizo."

"Let's play a game, shall we? 4 lives to save within 8 days. But which one to save first? Him? Her? Her? Or him?? Or probably...me?? Hehehehehe~"

"Whoever you choose, a life or two will still be sacrificed. So pick your choices, and enjoy the game....."

Kaizo snapped from his thought as his watch rang again. How many times had it been ringing, Kaizo couldn't remember. And no matter how tempted he is to pick it up and scream for help, he can't.

Because he couldn't bring the thoughts of jeopardizing the lives of the kids by answering it.

He could only pray, silently, that the caller will notice a thing or two is going wrong, and come for rescue herself...

The call died. And he grunted in displeasure. Sighing, he looked up at the bloody red sky, trying to keep his conscious from losing.

He needed help pretty quick.

He sighed again.

Hand still on his waist....where blood is dripping...and pooling on the ground...

Have to stay alive...and save them.... He panted, as he closed his eyes and darkness took over his sight.

4 days earlier....

"A new investigating mission?"

"Yes. Tempur-A's T-patrol officer requested us to send someone to planet Fiynex, as they received a distressing call when they passed by the area. Unfortunately, they couldn't make a stop at that time since they were needed somewhere else. Quick screening also resulted with them not to find any livings there. But just for incase, we should send investigator to there...." Koko Ci pressed a button and the information regarding the mission was sent to Kaizo's tab.

"So you think there might be a power sphera needs help over there?"

"Yes, maybe."

"I'll be going soon, then." Kaizo saluted and turned to his heels readied to leave.

"Captain Kaizo", but Koko Ci's call stopped his track. "Just... Becareful... No one has ever been to the planet, and information regarding it are limited. If danger approaches, leave immediately."
