The Dragon and The Flower

Chapter 4

A day has gone by and Dragonica hasn't talked to Peony since her and Dex broke up. Peony was starting to get worried about her. Peony was trying to contact Dragonica in very way that she knew how. While looking for Dragonica, Ivy came up to Peony.

"Hey. Can we talk in private?"

"Umm, sure." Ivy takes Peony to her room and they start talking.

"What did you want to talk about Ivy?"

"I'm worried about our relationship."

"What do you mean?"

"You've been gone for a while. We haven't had a chance to hang out. Did I do something wrong?" Ivy never lied so much in her life.

"No, you didn't do anything wrong. It's just I've been hanging out with someone new and I was worried about how you would take the news."

"Who have you been hanging out with?" Ivy lied once again.

"Dragonica."

"You've been hanging with a dark side? Why?"

"Because we found out that we were quite similar so we started hanging out more."

"You could have least told me that you were hanging out with someone instead of ditching me everyday."

"I know. I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry Ivy."

"Sorry isn't going to cut it. I hate to say this but I can't be friends with you anymore."

"Ivy, why are you acting like this?"

"None of your business. Now please leave my room before I have you kicked out." Peony gets up and leaves the room. Peony starts walking back to her room, but before she could reach her room, she started falling. Before she touched the floor, she felt someone catch her. Peony looked up to see that Dragonica caught her.

"Peony! You okay?"

"I am now. Thank you."

"Yeah."

"Why did you run off yesterday?"

"Why don't we go to the hill and talk?" Peony nodded and they walked to the hill.

While they were at the hill talking, Dex and Ivy met up at Dex's room. Dex finally finished the plan.

"Hey Dex. Is the plan finally finished?"

"It is."

"Well what are you waiting for? Tell me what it is."

"Okay okay. So, we both just lost our best friends and they could possibly be best friends now. What if we find a way to break them up for good? I would get my girlfriend back and you would get your best friend back."

"Okay, but how would be break them up?"

"I get Dragonica to be my girlfriend again and then start telling her fake stuff about Peony. You talk to Peony and tell her fake stuff about Dragonica. If we do it right, the two of them will hate each other and never want to speak to each other again."

"Dex, that's genius. How did you come up with this?"

"Curiosity killed the cat, Ivy. Stick with me and you will learn how to make these types of plans."

"Is that you saying you want to be my friend?"

"Possibly."

"Alright, so when do we start telling them these things?"

"Tomorrow. I'm going to invite Dragonica over and tell her. You do the same."

"Got it. Let's break this friendship up." Dex smiled and thought to themself, "she's an interesting girl. Maybe if I don't get Dragonica back, I'll go for her."

"Alright Dex, I should be going. I have to find something to tell Peony tomorrow. Text me how yours go tomorrow."

"Of course Ivy." Dex bows and Ivy gives them a weird look.

"Bye." Ivy leaves and silently thinks to herself, "Why do I feel so weird around Dex? I'm straight and they are pansexual. Do I have a crush on Dex?"

Once Ivy leaves, Dex pulls out a journal and starts writing. They write, "Ivy is an amazing person. If Dragonica and I don't work out, I want to ask Ivy out. I can tell that she's into me by the way she gets nervous around me. Let's just hope that she's down for dating a non-binary person."
