The Dragon and The Flower

Chapter 9

Tomorrow comes and the plan that Peony and Dragonica made was underway. Peony convinces Ivy to come up to the hill for you. Right before they left, Peony texted Dragonica saying that they were leaving. Ivy and Peony walked up to the hill and leaned back against the giant oak tree.

"Why did you want to take me up here Peony?"

"I just thought that we could sit here and talk."

"Oh okay. What do you want to talk about?"

"There's something bothering me and you're the only person I trust with the information."

"What is it?" Dragonica comes out from behind the tree and ties Ivy to it. Ivy squirms and tries to break free but is unsuccessful.

"What are you doing? Peony help me."

"Nope."

"What? Why not?" Dragonica stands next to Peony

"We need some information from you." Dragonica said.

"I thought you guys weren't talking anymore."

"We were, but we made up yesterday while you and Dex were at the mall." Dragonica said.

"Well, whatever information you want, I'm not giving it to you."

"That's fine." Peony said. "Come on Dragonica, why don't we leave and check up on her tomorrow?" Peony and Dragonica start to leave.

"Wait! I'll talk."

"That's what we thought." Dragonica said. "Now tell us, what is this plan that Dex made for us."

"Dex didn't like that you and Peony were hanging out quite a bit so they made the plan to make sure you guys would stop being friends."

"Why were you a part of it?"

"The first time you guys met up on the hill, I bumped into Dex looking for Peony. They told me that they were going to the hill to spy on you and that Peony may be there. I went with them and we listened to the whole conversation you guys were having. I've been in the plan ever since."

"Ivy, why did you do it?" Peony asked.

"Because I was tired of being ditched by you and I was tired of being a light side."

"What do you mean being tired of a light side?" Peony asked.

"My whole family has been a part of the dark side. I was the first in the family to be in the light side. It was fun at first, but after I met Dex, my point of view changed. I then discovered that I had a crush on Dex and"

"You have a crush on Dex?" Dragonica asked.

"That was the one thing you weren't supposed to find out."

"Take them."

"What?"

"I'm gonna break up with Dex after hearing all of this. You two deserve each other."

"Umm, thank you? Now can you untie me?"

"One more thing. You have to promise to me and Peony that you won't say a word to anyone about any of this. When I say nobody, I mean nobody. Not even Dex can know."

"Fine. I promise."

"Pinky promise?" Peony asked.

"Pinky promise."

Dragonica unties Ivy and Ivy leaves them at the hill. They look at each other with worry.

"Do you think she will keep her promise?" Dragonica asked.

"Knowing Ivy, she'll keep a pinky promise. So what's next?"

"Confronting Dex."
