Gisella was true to her word. She came over less than 10 minutes later with two plates in her hand. When I opened the door and saw the Minnie Mouse onesie she was wearing, I smiled. She was so cute. Her hair was in a bun and she was wrapped in a fuzzy purple blanket.
"It is so cold outside."
"Well it's toasty in my room. Come on," I turned to lead her upstairs with butterflies in my stomach.
"I brought you something to eat. Are you hungry?"
"I'm always hungry. What did you bring?" I opened the bedroom door and closed it after she headed for my bed. She sat down first and then revealed lasagna underneath the aluminum foil.
"Lasagna."
"You made this yourself?" I asked, picking up the fork in her lap. Gisella nodded her head.
"Yes, I made it myself." Gisella took a small bite and chewed slowly. I could feel her eyes on me, like always. Whenever she was around, she had a way in looking at me that made my skin feel like pebbles of fire were rolling down my neck.
"So tell me why you left school today, mi amor." Her eyes stared into me, making it hard to keep the truth from her. I could feel myself starting to panic.
"Umm..." nothing came to mind when I opened my mouth.
A few minutes passed before I took a deep breath. Gisella was eating slowly and looking at me, waiting patiently.
"I um...my period started."
"You already used that excuse this month, love. What's the real reason?" Gisella challenged me with a raised eyebrow. She could see right thru me. I sighed.
I finished eating my food before Gisella. Partly because I tried to focus on eating instead of talking but Gisella wasn't letting her question go unanswered. When she was finished eating and we took our plates to the kitchen, I thought I was in the clear. I thought because she was looking outside that she wasn't thinking about me leaving school. Gisella turned around and caught me staring at her.
"Do you want me to guess?" She asked, taking a few steps closer. I could smell the cloud of cotton candy surrounding her.
"No."
"You're going to tell me?" She was right next to me now. Our elbows touched until she took a step so she was in front of me. Up close, she was even prettier. She was so pretty, I had to look away.
"I kissed Ben on Friday."
"Does it really count if you were thinking about someone else?" Her accent made my skin tingle. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her as she pushed my back against the counter. I gulped hard enough for her to hear it.
"Uhhh."
"Benny told me you guys kissed. He said you're a good kisser." Gisella looked at my lips before continuing. "Are you going to let me find out myself or are we going to keep staring at each other?" Gisella waited for me to nod my head. As soon as I did, she leaned in slowly and pressed her soft lips against mine.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of her soft hands touching my cheeks as our lips took turns dancing together. This kiss was way different from kissing Ben. It was more intense, sensual and overall better. I loved the way her tongue skated across my bottom lip when she wanted more of me.
Finally we pulled away from each other, both hiding behind ginormous smiles and red cheeks. I can't believe I just kissed Gisella. More than anything, I can't believe she seemed to enjoy it as much as I did. I kissed her again, this time with my hands pulling her body into mine. She smiled into my lips and grazed my cheek again.
"Benny was right. You are a good kisser..."
