KATHERINE
I flipped the page in the wedding dress catalog for the 6th time trying to find one that even closely caught my attention. This was my 8th catalog and I was beginning to feel bad for not finding anything. Dorian, the wedding planner, rambled on about each dress and how royalty would be lucky to have such a selection. I shifted on my knees biting my lip nervously, we were in the dinning room and I was sitting on my knees in the chair. I flipped the page letting my eyes scan the page again stopping at a dress that kept catching my eye but wasn't anywhere close to what I wanted. It reminded me of a dress that a queen would wear to get married in the 1800s. It was a beige color with white lace and beading running over it. The top was tight fitting and long sleeved, the collar rose into a turtle neck with a cute little bow on the back. The bottom flared out in the most gorgeous way. It was vintage and beautiful but not even close to what I was looking for.
"Is that your dress?" Dorian asked me. I went to open my mouth to tell him it wasn't but a caramel smooth yet rough hand landed on my shoulder.
"I hope not, that's hideous" LaMelo's booming voice filled the room. I touched his hand relaxing at his presents.
"It's gorgeous but it's not my dress. I want something sexy, lace, elegant, modern and none of these dresses are that" I told him as nicely as I could shutting the catalog.
"Katherine, we've went through at least 8 catalogs today if you don't stop nit picking you're going to walk down the isle naked and ruin this whole thing" Dorian snapped harshly at me. I looked at him shocked adjusting my weight uncomfortably.
"Maybe there's something----" I got cut off by LaMelo grabbing the thick heavy binder slinging it across the room. His fists hit the wood of the table with such force I could have sworn I heard it crack.
"No you are not settling. I'm paying you to make this the wedding of her dreams. Instead of getting shitty because you brought pictures of ugly ass dresses she didn't like. FIX IT" LaMelo yelled making me and Dorian jump. LaMelo's face was hard and dripped with seriousness, his dark brown eyes seemed to be even darker due to his hood being up.
"Of course. When can I come back with more options Miss. Amour?" Dorian asked me swallowing harshly. I touched Melo's arm making his head snap back at me.
"Can I talk to you alone?" I asked him quietly. The truth was, I was done letting Dorian handle dress details. I've told him over and over again what I want but he keeps dismissing my wants giving me crap I don't like. I'm not mean enough to tell him I didn't want him working on it but LaMelo would have no problem.
"Of course Kitten" He said. I stood up grabbing his hand leading him through the house into his office. He shut and locked the door as I walked over to the desk sitting on it. LaMelo came over standing between my legs holding my waist looking into my eyes waiting for me to speak.
"I don't want Dorian working on the dress anymore" I whispered grabbing the strings to his hoodie playing with them. He grabbed my chin easily making my eyes find his.
"Has he been a dick the whole time? I'll go fix that" He told me sternly. I shook my head no letting my eyes fall back to the strings in my hand.
"No, he's been nice and he's doing an amazing job with everything else but when I tell him what I want in my dress, I can see him dismissing it in his mind. He gives me options that are nothing like I asked for. I just don't want to go in circles for weeks over this" I told him nervously. This whole wedding was a lot, I felt like I drowning because of it. Part of me just wanted to call it off and just get married at the courthouse but I knew that LaMelo wouldn't go for it.
"Then tell him you don't want him helping with the dress. I'll call in designers" Melo shrugged carelessly about it. I knew he just wanted me to be happy with it.
