"Umm...I..."
"And why are you bringing those with you?"
He asked as he pointed the money that I was holding.
THINK LAPIS THINK!
"I'm uh...going to the store for a while." I lied, added some nervous chuckle.
Wow, nice job, Lapis. You made it even more obvious.
I mentally face palm myself. I was actually going to the food court to meet my friends and hang out a bit.
"Hmm...."
His suspicious look appeared once again.
My heart pounded furiously, sweats running down my neck. I was panicing, but I didn't show it.
After minutes of silents which felt like I'm gonna suffocate soon from the extreme tention between my father and I, he finally let the hook off as he responded.
"Alright, come back soon, I guess." And he left.
After I heard a door closed, I caught my breathe which I didn't know I was holding. I knew he only said that because he didn't even care about me anymore after mom left.
Soon, emotional thoughts came in my mind but I shook them off.
Whatever. I didn't have much time left.
I grabbed my keys, put on my blue Nike shoes and ran off to my destination.
