CHAPTER SIX
The timing of the argument couldn't have been more inconvenient. With the Christmas holidays approaching, everyone involved was preoccupied with preparations and packing, leaving little room for serious conversations or conflict resolution.
During the train ride, Scorpius assumed his sister was likely with Rose in another compartment. He didn't think much of her absence in their own compartment, attributing it to simple separation.
However, unbeknownst to him, she was actually alone, tucked away in her secluded compartment.
Albus was resolute in his stance. He couldn't bring himself to feel guilty about his actions towards Nova, even if a part of him knew he may have been too harsh.
Yet, despite his determination to appear indifferent, he found himself constantly scanning the surroundings, his eyes searching for her.
Albus had convinced himself that the situation would resolve itself, that Nova would eventually approach him, or somehow cross paths like they always did. Yet, he was oblivious to the fact that his words had struck a deep chord with Nova, causing her to make sure to avoid him entirely.
With their classes separated by house and the obvious lack of classes together, avoiding him proved to be a simple task for her.
