ＣＨＡＰＴＥＲ ３

It's recess, Jade and I are in the cafeteria, Jade is talking about how she caught some crickets in her front yard, I'm listening as she keeps on talking but then my attention turns away from her and my eyes land on the blue haired girl from my class, she's on the other side of the cafeteria, GEEZ I hope she doesn't notice my staring... 'I still got to thank her somehow', Jade seems to notice that I'm staring at the girl, "Go talk to her", Jade says suddenly, "what? Nooo!, I'm not gonna go to her just like that! What if I make things awkward...?", I reply, "pfft, oh Diana you really suck at socializing, just go talk to her, it's not like she'll suck your blood or something", I keep looking at her, debating on what to do, 'she did help me after all', "I'll be fine girl, just go talk to your future girlfriend!", Jade says while nudging my shoulder.

I inhale and start walking over to her table, 'she's all by her own, do people really fear her that much?', I'm standing right beside her, she doesn't look up at me, "uhhh... hi, uhm... th-thanks for-", "You're welcome.", She says cutting me off mid sentence "huh?", I ask dumbfounded, "you're here to thank me about earlier, right? You're welcome, no need to give me something in exchange.", she says still not looking up at me, "y-yeah... uhh...", I stay where I am, nervous, not knowing what to do or say, "calm your tits, I'm not going to hit you", she says finally looking up at me slightly smiling, she signals me to sit beside her, I do as told, "So tell me, what's your name?", "Diana, yours?", "cute name, I'm Turquoise, nice to meet ya", she says grinning, now that her face is closer to me, I can see clearly her features, she has these beautiful sapphire blue eyes, she doesn't seem to use any makeup, some strands of her turquoise blue hair at the sides of her face, 'oh damn... she's really beautiful', "why did you help me back there...?", I ask out of the blue, "well because I just couldn't stand by and do nothing while she tried to steal your first kiss", she says crossing her arms looking away for a bit, "uhm, it was going to be your first kiss, right?", She asks looking back at me a bit doubtful, I nod and she sighs relieved, "So, tell me more about you, Diana", "well, there isn't much interesting stuff about me", I reply, "mmm 'kay, do you live with your parents or with roommates?", "I live on my own in a apartment not so far away from here" "ahh, I see", she replied.
We keep on talking until the bell rang, 'ugh, now that I remember we have P.E class after recess', "well recess is over, I really wanted to keep talking", Turquoise states a bit sadly, "yeah, me too", I reply, "What class do you have now?", I ask, "Physics, you?", "Physical education, I suck at it", I reply bored, "hahaha same!", Turquoise laughed. Jade comes in between interrupting us, "heeeey, Diana! The bell rang, gotta go!", "yeah I know, coming", I sighed, "see you later... uhm..." "Turquoise", she says smiling, "yeah, b-bye!", Turquoise waves us goodbye while me and Jade keep walking towards the dressing room.

"So, how did it go~?", Jade sings, "it went good!", I reply joyfully, "she really isn't as intimidating as people claim her to be", Jade giggles, "see? Was it that hard to talk to her?", She says as she changing into her P.E clothes, "you gotta learn to socialize, girl!", Jade says, "Or else what are you going to do once you get a job? I won't be here forever, Diana" "you're saying it as if you're going to die soon...", I tell her, We both stay silent for a while until Jade breaks it, "nothing lasts forever, Diana, we'll both going to have to go our own separate ways once we get out of high school", Jade states seriously, "so that's why we should make the most of our time here!", She beams, "now let's hurry up before Mr. James starts yelling at us to get out", I nod and hurry to keep putting on my P.E clothes; Jade usually doesn't get into this kind of deep talk but sometimes it feels like reality giving me a slap in the face, not really a pleasant feeling though, "ladies, hurry up! We don't have all day to wait for you to finish gossiping about the hottest boy in school!" Mr. James yelled from the other side of the dressing room's door, some of the girls groaned in annoyance, other laughed about it, Jade and I walk out of there, 'well, time to suffer for two whole hours' I say to myself just as Mr. James tells us to run around the gym to warm up.
