Christmas special

Winter break, FINALLY some rest from school and it's dramas, no homework, no need to wake up early for two whole weeks; 'I wish it was three weeks instead of two', I mumble to myself as I'm wrapping some gifts, I was invited by Jade's family to their christmas dinner, ever since I met Jade they've always invited me and my grandpa for christmas but ever since grandpa died i've been going on my own, I hear my phone ringing and I pick it up; it's Jade so I answer the phone, "hello?"  "hewwo Diana! You coming?" Jade asks through the phone, "yeah, I'll just finish wrapping the gifts and I'll go to your house" I reply "okie, did you invite Turquoise?",  Jade asks, "I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to invite someone your parents don't know" "oh c'mon Diana, I asked my mom if we could invite someone else and she said yes!" "really?", I ask, "yeah! Do you have her phone number?" , Jade asks me, "I think so... Let me search for it!" I hang up and start searching like crazy for Turquoise's phone number 'I swear she gave me her phone number, I think it's written on one of my notebooks" I start paging my notebooks like there's no tomorrow 'where is it... Where is it...!?' I shake my math notebook and a loose sheet falls from it, I pick it up and I see it has a phone number but I'm not sure if it's Turquoise's, "well life is fill of risks..." I dial the unknown number waiting for a response and someone answers "hello?" a voice answers, it seemed like it belonged to an eight year old girl "uhhh he-hello...?" I say nervously "Who's speaking?" the girl says in a demanding voice "D-Diana... Uhm I-I'm looking to-" "Turquoise, your girlfriend is calling you!" the girl yells not letting me finish "Kylie, I told you not to touch my phone!" I could hear Turquoise running towards the phone "well excuse me boss!" Kylie says away from the phone "hey there cutie pie~ how's it going?" Turquoise says in a happy voice, I blush at the nickname "uhh h-hi... Was that your sister?" I ask "yeah, sorry about that, but tell me, what's your call for?"  Turquoise asks "I just wanted to know if you'd like to come to Jade's christmas dinner, I-It's okay if you can't come..."  "I'll go" Turquoise says rapidly "wait, really?" "yeah, my dad is going to have to work late so we weren't going to do anything but watch a movie but yeah I'll go" Turquoise says "hey, could I bring Kylie with me? She can't stay home alone" "oh, yeah,  I think you can"  I tell her "great, I'll just tell my dad and we'll get there in a while, okay?" "okay, bye, see you there!" I hang up and message Jade telling her that Turquoise will be coming with her sister, she replies saying that it's okay, I sigh relieved and continue wrapping the last few gifts.

I knock on the door and wait for someone to open it "hey there, Diana! Come in come in" Mr. Hernandez welcomes me into their house "lemme help ya with that" he says with his slightly thick mexican accent "okay, thanks"  I thank him for helping me with the gifts "I thought you were going to bring two more friends?"  he asks confused "ah! She said she'll be coming later" I answer him "ohh okey then, I'll call Jade; Jade tu amiga ya llegó!" he yells, Jade then comes running down the stairs and she almost trips "Jade qué te dije sobre correr en las escaleras?" Mr. Hernandez says, I honestly have no idea what he's saying "perdón papá pero estoy bien!" neither do I have any idea what Jade just said; Jade proceeds to hug me tightly almost making me fall "I'm so glad you're here!" I giggle a bit "I'm glad being here with you too" I hug Jade back "well, I'll go put these gifts under the tree" Mr. Hernandez says while taking the gifts I brought; Jade is wearing this red and green sweater (mostly dark green) with some reindeers and santa claus' sleigh, navy blue jeans and this time she let her hair down with a red ribbon in it, I'm wearing a beige coat, I decided to straighten my short fluffy black hair and now I kinda look like a Karen "you look really pretty Diana!" Jade compliments me "thanks, you look really pretty as well, Jade" I compliment her back "thanks, I know" Jade says waving her hand and her other hand on her cheek, we both laugh a bit "let's go play outside in the snow!" Jade beams "aren't we a bit too old to play in the snow?"  I say looking at her, Jade gasps dramatically putting a hand over her chest "of course not! There is no such thing as being too old to play in the snow" I giggle at her behavior "oh Jade you're so childish, let's go then" I tell her, We stay staring at eachother for a bit until Jade takes off running outside "bet you I can make the biggest snowman!" she yells "hey wait up! I'll be the one who makes the biggest snowman!" I yell as well running at her, I tackle her to the snow, then we get up and start making our snowmen; as I'm making the body of my snowman I suddenly feel a snowball hit my head, I turn around and Jade is laughing, I grab a bunch of snow and shape it into a ball, Jade's laughter is cut just as the snowball hits her face, "oof!" Jade says, I start laughing as well but then she throws another snowball at my face, I make another snowball and throw it at her again, Jade takes cover with her half-made snowman, she tries to throw another snowball at me but I also take cover with my half-made snowman; the snowball fight goes on for a while until I accidentally hit someone else with a snowball, it was Turquoise! I hit Turquoise with a snowball! 'oh dear...' her sister was by her side laughing and holding her hand, Turquoise proceeds to make a snowball and throw it at me which lands on my face, Jade laughs even harder but is cut off just as Turquoise throws her another snowball at her face, Kylie also starts throwing snowballs at everyone, we're all having fun until Mr. Hernandez comes out the door "okay ladies, time to go inside!" we then all walk inside and Jade presents Turquoise and Kylie to her parents.
