Chapter 3. Spending Time With Friends And Family

Chavez's POV: I woke up early one morning and saw that it had snowed the night before I knew that this could be perfect time to go sledding with everybody I woke Hannah up and suggested the idea of sledding to her I had to admit she looked so cute for being five months pregnant with our second child

You sure you want to go sledding Chavez? Hannah asked curiously

Yeah why not look outside it snowed the night before it'll be fun especially for Gage and Chivato you know how they are I said

Okay if you think you can handle it be my guest Hannah joked

Well you and Summer Wind are coming with us I said

Say what now? Hannah asked surprised

Oh come on Hannah look you don't have to get on the sled just be there with us as sledding please I know Gage will love it besides you said you don't want miss out on little moments like this with Gage growing up so fast "come on what do you think? I asked

Okay but you're going to owe me for this Hannah said

Fine I said

Hannah and I shared a kiss before she went downstairs I was happy with everything that was going on I couldn't wait until Christmas I was so excited and I wondered what they were going to do on my birthday which is coming up I got up and made my way towards my son's bedroom I opened the door as gently as I could I quietly walked over towards his crib he looked so adorable the way he was lying in his crib he was all stretched out his baby blanket hanged off of him a little bit he still clutching his teddy bear that Hannah and I got for him for his first birthday I smiled softly as I looked down on my sleeping son after a few minutes he opened his eyes and looked up at me

Good morning bud I said

Good morning daddy he replied

I gently picked him up out of his crib and got him dressed to go sledding once I got him dressed we went downstairs to have breakfast with the rest of the Regulators and John when we walked into the dining room Hannah had already told everybody about the sledding idea that I had and they were already for sledding I set Gage in his highchair and Hannah fed him his breakfast John had given us the day off so we were able to go sledding right after breakfast John even came along as well and so did Alex and Susan McSween also came along

I can't wait to go sledding Chavez Chivato said excitedly

I know Chivato I know but when we get there I want you to be very very careful I don't want you to get hurt or anybody else for that matter okay I told him as I was his father instead of being his older brother

Yes Chavez Chivato replied

Okay I said

There was a hill not far from the ranch so we all decided to go sledding there Hannah couldn't go on the sled because she was five months pregnant so she stayed off to the side where she won't get hurt Chivato went first he looked like he was having fun already then it was Doc his wife's turn I was holding Gage as they all went down the hill finally it mine and Gage's turn I sat on the sled with Gage sitting on my lap I made sure he was on the sled good enough so that he wouldn't fall off once I made sure Gage was secured on my lap in the sled we took off it didn't go very fast and very far down so we weren't to worried about falling off the sled
