Will we make it ?

The man smiles at Kiana. "Good.. That's what we like to see. You want to escape, yes?" He asks her. She nods, not disturbing his speech. "Well, I've helped a lot of maidens like yourself escape this castle without any suspicion of me helping them, still with contact. You can rely on me if you just trust me.. It will get hard." The man says. Kiana raises her eyebrow, as if waiting for further detail. "Step 1. You have to let him 'change you'.." He exclaims, pacing back and forth. "Change me?" She questions, crossing her arms. "He already has you see... You have his blood in him, that's probably why your eyes look so similar to him, birth father or not, when you were a baby he could of had some affect on you. He's the underworld king, he wants to expand that bloodline in you, making it stronger to take it for his own." The man explains, not letting a breath step in the way of his explanation. "will I have control?" She says under her breath. "It depends, you look strong, you feel strong.. But sometimes you need help." He says, getting quiet towards the end. "I lost someone when I helped them escape before... She was a different case you see.. She was here for years before without my knowing.. Locked for ages, yet when I came down before I kept visiting her.. Until one day she got let out in to this room. She was then put in your situation, the plan was unsuccessful where we were gonna run away once she got out first.. She got shot, she died.." The man exclaims, his voice getting soft. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't know.." Kiana says quietly. He smiles.. "Heh, of course you wouldn't.. You're new to the system after all.. Hopefully you'll be successful. Although I may not know you, I don't want any innocent girls being forced like this. Although.. This plan I want him gone and this tradition put to rest.." He points out, gritting his teeth. Kiana gulps, her breathing getting slightly quicker than before. "I'm not ready.. I'm not powerful.. " she says. "That's why I said before, you need to let him change you. It will be painful, it isn't one of those fairy tails where everything will be okay and all will be easy. It won't. Step 2 will be told after it's done.. I trust you.." he adds. The door opens as he stops speaking, the king coming to grips with the room. "Ah, I see she is co-operating.. Very good. Festival will commence in 3 hours sharp so I suggest you give her a look of gold would you Ender?" He exclaims, a mischieveious and dark smile crossing his face. He turns away from them and walks out, closing the door behind him.  'Ender is his name..' She thought. He turns to her, his face ever so pale. "Look, I've got to get you ready, you won't like anything that will happen today but it's got to be done..  I'll help you." Kiana nods.

Some time later ...

A bright light shines forth on to the outskirts of the underworld, 2 beings appearing from the light itself on to the ground. Leona takes a step forth, catching her breath. "Leona! We shouldn't of left her behind she is our friend!!" Cyan grunts, anger showing in his voice. "Be angry all you want, but right now I can tell something is happening in the underworld.. You see, as we have only had 10 hours in the real world, in the underworld time works quite differently.. in hours, there are days, and when there are days, I fear she might be gone already.. I know one person who can save her but we have to catch up in order to save Kiana, do you understand?" Leona says, remaining calm. Cyan remains quiet, getting to grips with what she was saying. "Now let's go.. The king wants her for something and unlike some of the other unlucky maidens, it isn't for something good." Leona says, beginning to walk ahead. "You used to live here correct..? You should know where the capital is." Cyan remarks. She nods, disappointment crossing her face. "Unfortunately I do. Follow me.." She says.

A scream comes from the castle ahead of us.. It's too late...
