Haylie went into the bathroom and sat in the toilet stall for the rest of the period.It was recess and she didn't show up,neither did Brody.They had science next and both made their ways to their class.They sat down across the room from each other and every so often glimpsed at each other and quickly looked away.The teacher started going on about the water cycle.Brody was talking to Harley so Mrs Carmichael moved Brody to the spare seat next to Haylie.Haylie didn't show eye contact until Brody tapped her and asked for a pen.She proceeded to give Brody hers and now she didn't have one.He said to her we should share .So they don't get moved they passed notes on a sheet of paper.At the end of the lesson Brody passed Haylie a scrunched up piece of paper.It said,"meet me at the tree on the far end if the oval".She smiled at him as he left the class.
