Find Me Again?

Chapter 12

        "And you..you brighten my day,

        Make my smile,

        Make my life what it- Hey! Hey listen!"  Ray shook Jacob alittle as Jacob twitched and shook.  Jacob bit at his nails, gazing at Ray.  Ray went back to reading his poem.

        It's been a week since Jacob's started drugs.  He's become alittle addicted to them too.  He's lost himself.  The once sweet and innocent Jacob was buried deep inside, most likely dead.

        "C-C-Cocaine?"Jacob stuttered out, cutting Ray off.  "No hot stuff!   No!  This is my poem I'm trying to read to you!  You love my poems remember?  Remember?"  Ray whispered grabbing Jacob's face.  Jacob's twitchy demeanor didn't lesson, but a slight recognition shined behind.  But instead of yes..."heroine?" was said from Jacob's lips.

        Ray shut his eyes, tears asking to spill.  "I ruined you kid.  I'm not fit for this."  Ray whispered.  Jacob scooted to him and awkwardly laid his head on his shoulder.  

        "Why don't you ever change his clothes?"  Craig peeked in.  Ray washes Jacob and washes his cute little sundress outfit, but he puts it back on Jacob.  "It's his favorite outfit.  He screams when I try and put something else on him."  Ray whispered and looked down at Jacob.

        Ray got up and put Jacob in bed and the dogs got up there with him and he walked out.

        The others were in the front as well.  Ray sighed and rubbed his head."What should we do?" Diggy asked.  "He stays.  We can't put him out there, can't call the hospital.  Man they'll track us.  But then again i want his safety."  Ray whispered.  "Well maybe the addiction will clear..." Travis muttered and they nodded in hope.

        "We messed this kid up."  Tre whispered.  Ray got up and side glanced them.  He sighed and waved a farewell, going to his room to see Jacob holding cocaine in a plastic bag.  Ray rushed to Jacob and snatched it making Jacob cry.  "No! No! Ray! I need it! I need it!"  Jacob cried out.

        Ray held him back and threw the cocaine in the drawer and shut it.  Ray pulled Jacob's face to his.  "Where's my hot stuff?  The one I brought weeks ago?"  Ray asked,"Where's that spark?"  As Ray stared the glint died in jacob's eyes. Ray shut his eyes and began to cry.  "Why are you crying?"  Jacob whispered.  Ray kissed Jacob's forehead and rested his cheek on jacob's forehead.

        "The spark...it's gone...you're gone.."

Gosh i'm soooo tired.
