what does that even mean?

After knocking out damon klaus took off my vervain bracelet and compelled me to stay here. Katherine paces as I try to wake up Damon.

"Hey, Damon, wake up!" I shake him holding a blood bag

"Ahgh. What the hell happened?"

"Dracula wolf is gone to the ritual. He compelled me to stay and sleep. I just woke up " My heart racing. How was I supposed to save Elena now?

"I'm sorry. I had too he would've known I was on vervain if I didn't do it." Katherine blurts

"Do what?"

"Klaus. He made me call her to lure her out. He needed another vampire"

"Who did you call? Who did you call Katherine?" The raven haired vampire raises his voice grabbing her arm

"Should have used me? Why didn't he use me?"

"He couldn't. Damon, he said you were as good as dead"

"Damon, the crazy relentless, creepy vampire? I don't think so. Why would he say that?"

"What does that even mean"

"What does that mean?" I spot a boite on his forearm I immediately gasp katherine smirks

"What is this, Damon?!" I shout concerned

"It's a werewolf bite" he responds

"Oh my god Damon, please don't say you're dying" tears silently roll down my cheek

Damon sits examining the werewolf bite. I look at it also examining it.

"So that's what a werewolf bite looks like?" Katherine says breaking the silence

"Yep"

"It's not that bad"

"Will be" He rolls down his sleve covering the vicious bite

"So that's it? You're just... going to die?

"No. I'm gonna find the cure somehow"

"You know anything about a cure?" I shake my head

"Me either" he says slipping on his jacket

"No goodbye, last parting hero words?" I ask trying to cheer him up like he would do

"Yeah 145 years and no goodbye?"

"Bye Mads, I'll miss your snarky comments." He smiles slightly before turning to katherine shuffling angrily "And you don't get a goodbye" she speeds to him placing a hand on his chest softly

"No. Don't leave mad" she says

"Us ending on good terms isn't exactly on my bucket list, Katherine"

"Let him go in peace" she persists not letting him leave

"Klaus made me call Jenna to lure her out. There was nothing that I could do. I didn't have a choice."

"That's why I gave you vervain. So you had a choice." Damon counters

"He did give you a decision, looks like you made the wrong choice" I spit

"It was her or me. I chose her."

"I helped you. You owed me. Now when Klaus dies, your going to walk out of here with a scratch and Elena's aunt dies. Somehow you're the only one that wins. how?" His jaw clenches tightly

"I didn't let love get in the way" she answers honestly

"Of course. Classic." I say sarcastic

"Enjoy an eternity alone, Katherine" he swiftly walks past the other vampire

"What are you going to do?" I ask concerned

"I'm going to offer myself as a replacement to klaus"

"He won't take you. He saw your bite, he said that your blood  is impure. Im sorry, Damon. But jenas dead theres nothing you can do about it." Damon walks out

I run my fingers through my hair. My phone rings. Tyler. I swipe answer.

"Hey Ty. I'm fine. I'm at Alarics apartment the mangy hybrid has compelled me to be a hostage. Can you bring me some clothes and towel. Yeah thanks. Love you too" I hang up.  Within five minutes Tyler was there.

"So you can't leave? You look horrible by the way"

"Yup. And thanks Ty, stay safe and tell mom I'm still staying at Elena's"

"Of course mads"

I take a shower. It's a little weird to shower in Alaric's apartment but I was starting to smell, you know after being kidnaped for days. I called Alaric he says it's fine. I thanked him. It must make him furious Klaus does all this and on top of that takes over his apartment and kills his girlfriend. Poor Ric.

  I get dressed and dry my hair wondering what I'm going to do.
