eunha's p.o.v

i was sitting in the corner, just thinking when i heard a knock.

i didn't mind until i heard a voice say, "your friend, sowon, invited us over. are we allowed in?"

my head shot up to meet sowon's eyes, staring at me.

she walked over to me and grabbed my wrist.

she pulled me to the next room. "we'll be going." she said to the others.

she looked at me and her features softened.

she hugged me tightly, burying her face into my shoulder.

"i'm sorry." she whispered quietly against my ear, her breath tickling my ear.

i smile slightly as i shiver. "for what?" i ask cautiously.

she pulled away and looked at me, her black hair draping over her shoulder.

"for running away." she said, raking her fingers through her hair.

i feel tears start to pool my eyes. she felt she had done something wrong and that hurt me.

once i couldn't hold them anymore, the tears flooded from my eyes.

"i want to apologize, also. i know what i did last night was stupid but i was under influence and i never wanted to hurt you."

she reached her hand out to my face and gently wiped my tears with her thumb as she began to talk.

"it's... okay. i should have said something... instead of running away."

she smiled gently at me.

god, that smile that only god or satan could have sculpted.

it had only made me fall that much deeper for the girl in front of me.

"maybe we could start over?" she asked.

she cupped my cheeks and pulled me into a soft kiss. i kissed back, smiling.

she pulled away and smirked playfully.

"i take that as a yes." i punched her shoulder but nodded.

"yeah, okay." i said.

i heard a voice, sana i believe, yell out a name. "nayeon-ah!" she said.

"nayeon?" i asked myself out loud.

sowon pat my shoulder. "don't worry. she's one of the nice girls who found me last night." she said and smiled.

i nodded. "should i go out there and meet them?" i asked her.

"hm, not yet. i want to tell you some things about me and why i the way i am." she said and sighed quietly.

i nodded and waited for her to begin talking.

"well, my name is kim sojung but i go by sowon. i lived with yewon, my mom and her husband until she decided she'd had enough and left us." she explained.

"so he was emotionally crushed which led to his bad drinking habit. at first, he would yell at us and call us derogatory and offensive names." she paused and sighed.

i kept my mouth closed and waited for the rest.

"then eventually he got physically aggressive. shoving, hitting, throwing things. i hated going home after school. i hated that yewon had to go home to that." i could hear her voice crack ever so slightly.

i put my hand on her shoulder and gently caressed her shoulder.

"i made sure to always be there so he'd never touch yewon. so he'd never hurt her. she's my pride and joy so i'm very thankful that you're taking care of her." she said as she teared up.

i pulled her into a tight hug, rocking us gently and whispering softly into her ear.

"you're a very strong woman. don't let anyone take that away from you. but if you want to cry then please do so. it won't change how strong and beautiful you are."

i felt it, i felt her dam break all over my back.

her hot tears were sliding down and being soaked up by my shirt.

we sat there, hearing nothing but the commotion outside and her sobs inside.

she finally pulled away after what felt like hours.

"i'm sorry about your shirt." she said and laughed, wiping her face.

i smiled gently at her and shook my head. "it's alright. thank you for telling me that. i promise to never tell anyone else." i said, ruffling her hair.

she sighed deeply and wiped her face of any excess tears. "i think we go back so i introduce you, yeah?" she asked in her broken english.

i broke out into an obnoxious laughter, hitting her arm. "sojung, you need to pay attention in english class." i said between laughs.

she rolled her eyes and smiled as she got up, walking towards the door.

i quickly got up and followed her.

"you ready?" she asked playfully and gripped the knob.

i nodded and waited for her to open it.

she twisted the knob and opened the door.

as soon as we walked in, yerin noticed us.

"you guys are done talking?" she asked.

the whole room went silent and all eyes were on us.

"yeah, just wanted to clear something up." sowon said and smiled.

"hm, cool." she said and, putting everything back to normal.

"yah, sowon! who's she?" a girl with brown hair asked.

"this is eunha. eunha this is nayeon." sowon introduced.

i nodded and bowed slightly.

"drop the formalities, kid. we're friends." nayeon said and chuckled.

i smiled and hummed. "alright."

i turned my head to see sana and a girl with purple hair.

she seemed to be rather uninterested but sana was not giving up.

i stifled a laugh and shook my head. "your friend seems to be bothered by minatozaki's charms."

nayeon looked up and chuckled.

"tzuyu doesn't really like anyone outside of our circle, especially not annoyingly flirty girls." she said humorously.

sowon laughed under her breath.

"she did it to me, too, when we first met. her face when i shut her down in front of the whole class was to die for." she said.

her laugh is like music to my ears.

everything about that woman makes me crazier by the second and i love it.

i bit my lip as i looked her up and down.

my face heated up as she looked my way, causing me to quickly avert my gaze.

"wow, eunha, my eyes are up." she said, a smirk evident in her voice.

i rolled my eyes, not bothering to look at her.

"shut up." i mumbled under my breath.

sowon did just that; stopped talking.

i excused myself from the crowd and went to my room.

sat on my bed, i was left thinking.

though, i know some things about her,

why haven't i found out the reason behind her black hoodie?
