third person p.o.v
that's when she saw them.
every cut and bruise on her arm
they were fading but they were still visible.
eunha furrowed her eyebrows and moved the entire blanket off of her.
her eyes widened in shock and filled with tears as she saw every visible part of her body was covered in cuts and bruises.
was she disgusted? did she dislike sojung because of the way her body looks? was she going to leave the girl?
of course not.
infact, she was irate that sojung suffered on her own instead of speaking up.
that sojung's step father beat on sojung and then attempted to kill her.
that she couldn't prevent any of it.
she placed that blanket back on sojung and stormed out of the room.
the room's atmosphere was tense because eunha was hadn't said anything once she was back in the waiting room.
her face was red, she had her arms crossed and her jaw was clenched.
not even her sisters had the courage to ask her what was up.
sana built up the courage to ask, "what's up with you?"
eunha shot her a sharp glare causing sana to shut her mouth.
"she has bruises... everywhere." eunha said dangerously lowly.
a majority of the room was shocked and speechless.
but it didn't come in shock to jeongyeon, nayeon, chaeyoung, mina and tzuyu.
they knew she had them but they also knew it wasn't their place to tell anyone else.
"that's why she always kept the hoodie on. that's why she whimpered every time she was grabbed. that's why she tried so hard to protect yewon." jihyo mumbled, everything finally clicking.
"and she suffered all by herself instead of telling us. instead of telling me!" eunha yelled as her voice cracked.
"eun, calm down. you have to understand she was scared and she didn't know how to handle it." jihyo said, taking the seat next to eunha.
eunha's head dropped in shame as she made a realization.
she laid her head on jihyo's shoulder and cried softly.
"that's why she pushed me away that night. she was ashamed of her body and i still tried to push her. i made her uncomfortable." the shorter girl whispered, so only jihyo could hear.
jihyo knew eunha was close to a breakdown so she excused them and went to the bathroom.
"you have to calm down, eunha. panicking about the past won't make it any better."
"but what about how she felt? i didn't bother asking why, i just urged her!" eunha yelled as her breathing started getting heavier.
jihyo bent the girl over slightly and rubbed her back, telling her to breathe deeply.
she did that until eunha calmed enough to breathe properly.
"how about we go home until sojung wakes up?" she suggested earning a soft nod from eunha.
she stayed with her head on jihyo's shoulder as they walked out from the hospital.
"i suggest you all go home. sojung most likely won't be up until tomorrow. get some rest. goodnight." she said sternly and bowed slightly to her friends as she called someone to pick them up.
soon, a white car pulled up in front of them.
"hey, ji. i heard what happened to your friend. i hope you're all doing okay." the driver said, voice laced with sympathy.
"yeah, we'll get better, wan. but right now we just need to get home." she answered as she got eunha in the back seat.
the ride was silent and rather cold.
they stayed at yerin and jihyo's house because eunha couldn't bear being in there with the smell of blood and it was a crime scene as well.
no need to worry about sana. she was in paradise, being comforted by chou tzuyu and staying over at her house.
jihyo carried a sleeping eunha to her bed before leaving the room and sitting on the couch next to yerin.
"today was crazy, ji. what if he had shot sojung in the head or in her heart? what if she had bled out? it's hard processing that my little sister almost lost the love of her life and we almost lost who we consider family at this point." yerin ranted, tugging at her hair.
"i'm just glad sana got there in time. if not for her we wouldn't have only lost sojung but eunha as well." the younger said calmly.
"yeah.... sana's always been there for eunha, even after they broke up, they were still partners in crime. but what she told us earlier still doesn't sit right with me. what does sana's mom have to do with anything?" jihyo's face drained it's color as yerin asked.
she sighed and looked at eunha's sister.
"she never told you?"
yerin shook her head, clueless to what she was about to say.
"well..."
jihyo explained everything from eunha and sana's relationship to sana's mom dying and sana's drastic change.
"wow. that's crazy. sana must have been horrified when she saw eunha's message." yerin squeaked out as tears fell unconsciously.
jihyo only nodded silently as she laid back in the couch and closed her eyes.
"today has been tiring and stressful. let's go to sleep. hopefully sojung will be awake in the morning." she said as yerin cuddle up next to her.
"i just hope eunha doesn't rip sowon apart about her body. she needs to go about it the right way but we both know she's never too good with confrontations." yerin said quietly, stressing about what the next day will hold.
jihyo hummed in agreement.
"we'll have to wait and see."
