I'M RIGHT. I know I am.As I reassured myself, I walked into the dining room where my parents are currently seated. My school announced that they are taking us on a field trip to Mr Gasker's Crafts Store next week and I really want to go there. It's like an other version of Hamleys. I have the permission slip and I need to get it signed by my guardian. So I keep my fingers crossed while walking towards the table.
"Good morning Dad and Mom." I said.
"Morning," my father said, flipping the newspaper page.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well last night?" My mom asked, completely throwing me off guard.
"I did actually. Why did you ask? I mean you never asked me before." I said, while taking a seat and revealing the permission slip.
"Why did I ask?! Should I not have asked you? There's no reason for you to be so rude. If you don't want to talk to me then don't. Atleast stop speaking rudely." My mom replied in a way that really provoked me.
"I was not talking rudely. I-"
"Now you're talking back! What's wrong with you?" My mom cut me off in the middle.
"I'm not talking back! And nothing's wrong with me!" I fired back.
"Can you see this, Riker? We are raising a monster! Someone with no respect for her parents!" My mom deliberately raised her voice to annoy me.
"What's that in your hand?" My father asked me. "Another letter from your long list of lovers?"
"What?? No! This is just a permission slip of a trip to MGCS next week. I want you to sign it." I said, my eyes tearing up.
Whatever I do, I'm not gonna cry in front of them.
"Why is that so? So you can hook up with more guys?"
I couldn't hold back anymore. "You guys are literally the worst parents anyone can get! God help those other miserable people like me because He clearly isn't helping me! I wish from the core of my heart that nobody gets such disgraceful parents like you!" I shout and walk out of the door.
Surprised? Well this is a typical morning at my house everyday. I couldn't care less about those two despicable scumbags I have to live with. I'm just waiting for school to be over so that I can leave this house and never come back.
Even dying is better than living with them.
