Eleven days after the banquet the kingdom had been busy organizing for the up and coming wedding day of both Naomi's and Sesshomaru's tribe. A unity of both clans that has been set in stones the day they were born.

Despite the preparations done here and there, both tge bride and groom were in no terms of wanting to marry the other. They both knew that the other loath the other as they really haven't gotten on a good start by the time they both met. It would seem that both Naomi's and Sesshomaru are stubborn as a mule to at least give the other a chance to get along with one another.

Lucky for them, Sesshomaru's mother was kind and cunning enough to set these two love birds on a day to get along.

❝ Naomi? ❞ She called the woman's attention as they both passed one another in the hall. ❝ I hope you aren't busy at the moment? ❞

❝ Oh, you're excellency. No, no. I'm not busy at the moment. Is there something you need? ❞ The young woman turned her attention to the mother of Sesshomaru with a kind smile. Unlike the son, the mother was much more kind and caring.

(Thought they did share a bit of resemblance appearance wise— but that's not what Naomi was think at the moment!)

The Lady flashed a closed eyed smile. ❝ I'm glad. Would you be so kind as to check on the flower arrangements by the garden? I've checked twice and it seemed like the organizers just don't what I was asking for. ❞ A hand placed on her cheek as she looked and sounded worried. ❝ Would that be too much? ❞

Naomi shook her head and smiled in reply. ❝ Not at all. I'll go check for you. Now, I'll excuse myself. ❞ She bowed her head and started to make her way over to the garden. Sesshomaru's mother watched the fleeting figure of Naomi before a sly smirk crept on her face. ❝ Now for that ungrateful son of mine. ❞

The young lord had locked himself with work in the library. Jaken and Rin were somewhere enjoying the sunny weather. In the middle of arranging the pile of books had a knock on the door caught his attention. His mother then entered, calling his name. ❝ Your highness— ❞ ❝ It's "mother". How many times have I told you to call me so? ❞ The woman sighed as she made her way over to a chair by the desk.

❝ ...Mother, what are— ❞ ❝ Do I  need a reason to visit my lovely child? ❞ Sesshomaru was interrupted once more. He was caused to sigh, lightly shaking his head. ❝ But since you are here at a time like this, you must need something? ❞ It wasn't a question. He knew she was up to something and it surely would involve him.

❝ Remember the flower you gave me on my birthday? I couldn't find it in the garden. I wanted to make a small bouquet for the guest rooms but the sun is too much for my skin. ❞ Her head tilted  to the side. Her son only looked at her, waiting for her to continue. ❝ You wouldn't mind would you? ❞ As much as he could say that she could send one of her handmaids to do that job, he knew better than speak back. ❝ Small bouquet, yes? ❞ He flops one book over the pile before nodding in agreement. ❝ Sesshomaru will be back. ❞ With that, he headed to the door and left the room as he made his way to the garden.

❝ Now, I leave the rest to you both. ❞ She muttered mostly to herself with a small smile.

In the garden, Naomi arrived to see servants buzzing back and forth as they continued to arrange to what was instructed. She didn't seem to find anything amiss. She did had to help a couple of the servants put up several potted bonsai around designated areas.

The young woman wasn't mindful of the time that she noticed the servants letting her take a break from helping them. As much as she wanted to continue helping they were pushy about wanted to have her rest. She had no choice but to take their offer and made her way wandering around a secluded area in the garden, away from the busy venue.

Now that she thought about it, she never seem to take a break as soon as she arrived. It was probably a great time to take a break from all that happened for the last eleven days.

On Sesshomaru's side of the event, he was heading down from the study and headed off towards the garden just as his mother had instructed him to do. He was here on his mother's request to 'check the venue'.

Sensing something fishy, he could go against her request and headed on with his usual routine...but he did what Inukimi had suggested and was now scanning through the little green garden as he took an unusual route. The route that took him to the gazebo where there, Naomi had just arrived too.

Their eyes met as the woman was the first to look away with spite in her eyes. She didn't seem interested in speaking with the inu and ignored his presence. Sesshomaru on the other hand gave no passive reply and continued on his way, only to be stopped by an incoming maid who carried a pot of flowers. ❝ My Lord! Her Lady has asked me to hand this to you. She wishes you bring it to the inner garden together with Lady Naomi. ❞ As she passed her message and the pot of flower, she bowed once and went back to the place she came from.

Without having an idea and anyone to do this, he turns to face Naomi only to see her looking at him, surprised like he was— he was just less expressive with his expressions. ❝ We shall not waste a second then. ❞ In a heartbeat, he lead them both deeper into the garden.
