Chapter 1

Kaida's P.O.V
It's been a few months since I left the castle and I just arrived in Awa and everyone here seems different like they are pretending to be happy. I hear someone yelling and when I look I see a girl being harassed by two officers. I narrow my eyes and I quickly get off of Shizu and go to punch the officer. When I get there and eventually punch the officer there was also a black haired man punching an officer and a green haired man kicking the other.

"Crap, now I've done it." The black haired man says with a glare.

"They couldn't flirt elegantly, so it couldn't be helped." The green haired man says with a cold look.

I ignore why they say and turn the the woman. "Are you okay miss?"

There is a blush on her face as she nods her head.

"That's good." I smile and then turn to look at the officers.

One of the officers draw their dagger. "Wh-who are you?! You think you can get away with this?!"

The officers runs towards us. The black haired man easily slaps the dagger out of the officer's hold. I trip a officer running at me. The green haired man kicks an officer in the stomach. The officer collapses to the ground in pain.

"Not only were you rough with a lady, but your mad at us? The green haired man tilts his head, his purple eyes looking down at the officer with hate. "Come back when you learn what "beauty" is."

I turn around and see more officers running towards us.

"What's wrong? What's going on?!"

I whistle for Shizu. I hear the hooves of a horse and I see Shizu running towards me. I quickly grab onto the reins and pull myself on the saddle.

The green haired man puts on a charming smile. "Oops. Come on, we need to run." With that he grabs a hold of the younger woman's hand and bolts. I nudge Shizu and he quickly follows I jump off him and I go into the alley and Shizu goes another way to meet up with me again. I elbow an officer in the face and yell. "Go away!"

The green haired man whistles. "Are you both soldiers? You both seem awfully in shape."

"No I'm just a traveler." Me and the black haired man say at the same time.

"A traveler huh?" The green haired man looks over at me and smiles. "Hello there, beautiful."

I look over at him and give him a smile. I hear again the sound of the hooves. I turn around and spot Shizu. I grab his reins and pull him towards me.

"What about you? The way you carry yourself, you're no ordinary person." The black haired man slyly smirks.

A bright aura surround the green haired man. "What? I'm extremely beautiful?"

"That's not what I said."

After some more running we finally loose the officers. I look around and I also check my skirt to see if Kuro is still there. After I put my hands on my hips I can feel him still there.

"Looks like we got rid of them." The black haired man says with a sigh.

The green haired man strained a smile. "Sorry, I wish I could stay a little longer with you, but I have to go." He places a kiss on the woman's hand.

"What." The she becomes more flustered.

"Have this man and this lady walk you home now." He gives a charming closed eye smile. He gives me a wink. I roll my eyes at him. "I'll see you around beautiful." Then he jumps up towards the sky and lands on a roof.

I get on Shizu and prepare to leave. I don't know much about this place. When he turns around and is surprised to see the green haired man gone. "He's gone? Who was he?" I nudge Shizu and he starts walking.

"Hey. Are you gonna walk her home with me?" The black haired man asks. I turn my head towards him. "I have to get supplies for myself and my horse. I think you can handle it." I nudge Shizu again and he gallops towards to market area so I can buy food.
