I woke up in a familiar room but it wasn't mine, when i fully sat up and took in my surroundings the events of last night quickly invaded my mind. Interrupting those the thoughts I grabbed a towel getting into the shower I enjoyed a 20 minute shower before getting out putting on my jeans and a hoodie from out of Adonis's closet. I then found my way to the living room where Caden, Dior and Adonis sat having a conversation but stopped when they noticed me.
"No, no keep talking" i say walking further into the living room. "Elaysia" Dior calls out ignoring what I had said. "Coming" you hear her faint voice respond. With that i proceed to walk towards Adonis and sit on the arm of the chair he was in. "Whats going on someone tell me something" I say. They all just give concerned looks then turn there attention to Elaysia who was coming down the stairs.
"Come 'er mamas" Dior calls to Elaysia putting her in his lap. "Okay i guess since I'm the furthest from the girls I'll start" Caden says from the couch. "When we were back in Chicago we worked for a man. The man we worked for didn't do legal business but we were young and dumb and wanted to be paid" Caden states. "Everything was fine working for him, we worked our way to the top until we were his most trusted men" Dior starts. "Until one business move went wrong and we left a trace" Dior continued now getting dirty looks from Elaysia.
I turned around to look at Adonis who was looking in his lap. "When the deal went bad our parents found out and sent us to Philly for our safety" Adonis started still looking in his lap. "But we never stopped working for the guy instead we actually got higher positions" Adonis finished. "So what yall tryna say" I snapped. "So yall drug dealers" Lay added. "Not just regular drug dealers ima king pin" Adonis spoke looking me dead in my eyes. "Your an idiot" i spoke with venom then looked around I spotted my key then left.
My car was sitting out front with not a scratch and it had been cleaned, i got in an swerved off. Everything was making sense now i was only ever in danger for fucking with Adonis, and i saved his ass twice. I was so caught up in my thoughts that i didn't realize i was home.
Adonis | POV
After telling the girls whats up and Jassia storming out everyone just stared back at me. "Lay lemme get the key to y'all apartment" i say looking dead at her. She stands up from Dior's lap throws the keys at me and heads for the stairs. "Y'all so fucking dumb and Dior you have a damn kid on the way" she says stomping up the stairs with Dior on her heels. "What the hell you about to do" Caden asked walking me to the door. "Fix this" i say leaving out.
I made it to Jassia apartment and was now standing outside the door nervously. Her car was outside so I know she here. On the way over here i stopped at Wings and Things to get her the usual. I used Lay's key and unlocked the door and struggled a bit doing so. When I entered i was met with a chrome pink glock 9 pointed at me.
"Almost got ya dumb ass killed" Jassia says nonchalantly as she walks to what i think is her room. "What if that was Lay" I asked following behind her. "Lay doesn't struggle unlocking the door now why are you here Ace" she snapped with darkened eyes. She just called me Ace only people in the drug game and nigga's that don't need my real name call me that. "Yæ i put two and two together I'm not as dumb as you thought" she said getting visibly upset.
"I don't think your dumb at all ma" i say tryna touch her but she pulls away. "Then why you ain't tell me the first time we was shot at, i put two mother fuckers six feet for yo ass and I didn't even know why" she said. She was right for me she was killing with no questions asked. "Look I'm sorry ma I didn't want you involved in my shit" i say truthfully. "Adonis your my best friend if me sending nigga's to hell for you don't prove that then I don't know what will" she said.
I looked in into her eyes to see she meant every word she said. A piece of me wanted her as more than my best friend but with the shit I do it's no way I can, she a shooter and my lil ride or die. "Promise to tell me the truth for now on" she said sticking her pinky out like a kid. I took her pinky in mine " promise to ride til you die" i said looking into her eyes. "Forever and always" she responded. "Now give me my food" she say with a smile.
As she ate her food and typed away on her phone i sat in the corner of her bed and watched her. This girl was something special she didn't judge me for what i was doing nor was she mad, she just wanted the truth. I never need to question her loyalty this girl put her self in harms way for me and never asked any questions. She is perfect the accuracy on her shots was perfect. I love this-
My thoughts were cute short by Jassia calling my name. "Adonis boy you been staring for about an hour" she says with a chuckle. "Im just admiring my best friend" i say pulling out my phone snapping a picture. "Wait lemme see" she says getting up and sitting on my chest. "Ohh thats cute" she says getting up but i pull her back down. "Yæ im finna post it" i say with my hand on her thigh. She looks at my hand then back at me and starts to blush, this girl is so damn cute. As I'm thinking i post the picture of Jassia.
