"Run! Run!" Sean's voice rang from inside the house. Not even a second later he appeared in the doorway and ran out of the house, grabbing your hand in the process and dragging you with him.

"Wha- Sean!" It was all you could blurt out as he pulled you along before you heard the first gunshot from the house.

"GET BACK HERE!" An angry male voice called from behind. You squeaked and began running like the wind next to Sean.

Once Sean realized you were running steadily beside him, he let go of your hand so that you could run even faster. He let out a small laugh as he looked at the house behind him and picked up some more speed.

The man stepped off his porch and sent a few more bullets flying but the thieves quickly scurried off into the forest and disappeared from sight.

You and Sean hid behind a tree far away from the property and tried to catch your breath. Your hands were on your knees and you were bent forwards as you sucked air into your lungs. Sean had completely given up and lay on the ground beside you, a hand on his chest, as he heaved.

"Well that was... something." Sean blurted out.

You stopped what you were doing and glared at Sean. "What on earth did you do in there?" You asked with an exasperated voice. "It was supposed to be stealthy!"

Sean chuckled and raised his head to look up at you. "Yeah that was my bad. The man had a rather shiny ring on his finger. Couldn't resist." He smirked.

You sighed and sat down next to him, your back plastered against the tree. "Good god Sean, we almost died for a ten dollar ring?!" The annoyance was clear in your voice as you said that.

Sean sat up as well but stayed in front of you in a slumped over position. "It has got to be worth more than that." He grinned as he pulled out the ring. True to his words, the ring looked very expensive. Along the base of the ring ran intricately carved details, indicating it was more than just a general gold or platinum ring. If the carving wasn't enough to convince you it was special, the gem did. On top stood a clear green gem, held firmly in place by little red claws.

"My god." You said as you stared at it with wide eyes. Sean couldn't help but grin at the expression on your face. "What an absolutely awful looking piece of jewelry." You then continued and Sean let out a snort at your statement.

He quickly regained his composure and put on a mock pout. "You don't like it?" He asked, a little whine in the back of his voice. You couldn't help but laugh at his pout which only made it bigger. "But what if I wanted to propose to you with this ring?" He then asked, still with a pout.

You glanced at the man beside you and put on a small smile. "Then you can do that with a ring far less ugly."

"So you wouldn't mind if I did?" Sean's face suddenly stood serious yet curious as he looked at you for a reaction.

The question startled you a little bit and you looked at Sean. It was rare to see him so serious and you thought a second before answering. "I... Suppose I wouldn't mind if you did, no." A shy smile appeared on your face and you looked down to your lap as you said that.

Sean's face on the other hand, lit up like fireworks and he excitedly jumped to his feet. The sudden motion caused you to look up at Sean and saw him hold out a hand for you to take.

"Shall we get out of here Mrs. MacGuire?" Sean asked with a smirk.

He pulled you up and you hit his shoulder as a blush stained your cheeks. "You haven't proposed to me and we're definitely not married yet." You said before hurrying off to the horses who you hid not too far from where you currently were.
