It had been about two weeks where you were constantly bedridden and it was driving you crazy. Charles had been by your side as much as he could but after about a week, Dutch forced him to go things around camp once again since they couldn't afford two strong members being down and out for the next few weeks.

At the moment, Charles was out hunting and you had enough of the tiny tent you were in. With immense effort, you sat up and swung your legs over the side of the cot. You used a little bit too much force however and your wounded leg slammed into the chair Charles usually sat on.

John was walking past your tent when he suddenly heard a thump and a loud curse slip from within. Carefully, he parted the tent flap a little bit and peeked inside to see you clutching one of your legs with bared teeth. "You alright there?"

A sudden voice made you whip your head up and you saw John's head peep into your tent as he looked at you with a concerned face. You grimaced at him and let go of your leg. "Yeah, just bumped my leg."

John nodded and opened the tent flap a little more to come inside. "You sure you should be sitting up like that already?" he asked while gesturing at your current position.

"I've been stuck in this tent for nigh on two weeks now. I want to get out." You huffed back at him.

"Yeah I get that." He chuckled as he thought back to when he was bedridden after the wolf attack in the mountains.

"Come help me up Wolf boy, I want to breathe the outside air." You suddenly broke through his thoughts and motioned for him to come over.

"Wolf boy? You've gotten it much worse than me so shouldn't you be Wolf girl?" He said back while walking over to you.

You grinned and wrapped your arm around his shoulders so he could pull you up. He did just that and you grunted in pain at the motion. Once you stood on your feet, John put one hand on your waist and the other on the hand you had wrapped around his shoulders. With this position of support, he started walking you to the exit of the tent.

"I'm not the one with a visible scar on my face." You retorted with a grin to try and ignore the pain. "Besides, Wolf girl doesn't have the same ring to it don't you think?"

John chuckled and used the hand that wasn't supporting your waist to open the tent completely. The sudden bright light made you blink a few times. Once you were adjusted you started leaning forward and John took it as a sign to start moving again.

"Where do you want to go?"

You thought for a second while looking over the camp at Horseshoe Overlook. A lot of the male members were out on a job and the women were doing chores all around so the fire was relatively peaceful. "The fire over there is just fine." You smiled and pointed to the intended spot. Only Uncle was currently seated there and he seemed to be completely paralyzed from drinking too much as he was staring off in the distance with glazed eyes.

John hummed in acknowledgement and dragged you over to the fire. After carefully putting you down on a log he took a seat next to you and sighed while rolling his shoulders a bit. "Never realized you were that heavy." He teased earning a sharp jab from your elbow in his side. "Ow, I thought I'd be safe with all your injuries." He laughed.

You smirked at him with an evil look on your face. "My hands may be out of commission but you can bet that my elbows are more than ready to fill the empty slots."

As silently as possible he scooted a little further away from you before bursting out into a laugh. You happily joined in and the sudden sound seemed to knock Uncle out of his daze.
