Anywho, please enjoy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It was finally the weekend and Todd got up early in the morning to venture to his next door neighbor's house (if it could be considered that anyways). Todd knocked on the door and waited for the door to open.
"Hey Squeegee!" Todd gave an annoyed face, but quickly remembered his neighbor was criminally insane. "Hello Mr. Nny..." His neighbor grinned widely and moved aside letting his younger friend enter.
"Umm.." Todd started as he wandered around inside."Hmm?" he hummed in response to the boy. "Where is Coal?.." Nny sighed in annoyance. "I don't know." Todd cringed in terror. "Y-you... you didn't kill him did... did you???.." Nny sat down on the sofa and gave him a "seriously " face, then rolled his eyes. "No. I think he might be hiding again.. There's a lot of places that little thing could be." Todd kept searching for his companion frantically. "I'm sure he's fine!" Todd ignored him and kept looking around.
"Hey, you know it's almost Thanksgiving. I don't eat like a giant fucking turkey dinner like most people, but I do go out and get a bag of tacos, chips, and salsa and cheese dip. Uhh Squee? Todd..?" He couldn't see the kid. Nny hopped up and searched for Todd.
After searching through the kitchen, closet, shed, and bedrooms he thought of his last option... the basement. "He couldn't have gone down there.." he said scratching his scalp. "Better check anyways." He said descending into the darkness of his basement. Johnny walked past the old rooms he once kept captured victims in. The equipment, the smell of rot, the scattered bones, and the damned wall.. It all got to him. It all kept trying to trick him into giving into his violent desires.
Nny soon entered the room that once held one of his victims he wishes he never decided to kill. "Edgar.." he whispered. He should have just grabbed one of the creepy ass street performers. He entered the room and looked around. Then he noticed a little foot in the corner of the room behind a box.
"What are you doing?" Nny asked as he walked over to see his neighbor friend sitting with his face shoved in his knees.
"I can't find him.. (sniff)... he might get hurt... or worse.." Nny noticed a tear slide down his friend's face.
"Hey, I'm sure he's just hiding somewhere in the house. He may even be back upstairs. C'mon it's not very safe... or clean down here for that matter. " He said wiping a tear off of Todd's face with his thumb. "I'm sure the cat is alright. Let's go watch tv or something. You can have the remote if you want."
"Ok.. Maybe he'll come out from hiding then."
Even after a total of 3 weeks, Coal did NOT return.Nny walked around downtown with a copies of a drawing Todd drew of the cat. Todd was a talented artist, especially for someone of his age, but he felt kinda silly for putting up drawings of a cat standing up like a person and smiling. He did it anyways hoping someone saw a similar looking cat.
"Excuse me uh mam?"
"Yesss?" an older lady asked annoyed still looking at her phone.
He knew this person probably wouldn't be of much assistance to him. "Have you seen a little black and white kitten?"
"No! Ehhh.. Well actually I saw one, it ran into traffic and then went down that alley over there."
"Great thanks.." he said hurrying off in the direction of the alleyway.
"Whatever." she snorted and walked away.
"Coal?... C'mere." he said unamused. How could this little furry jerkwad abandon Todd like this? How?? He did not know. "Coal!!!" He felt so bad for his little friend. He was crushed his pet ran away. His first pet. "I have to find this cat." he said putting up the pictures of the cat.
"I have to.."
