Chapter One: New Place

ZAYN POV

"These boxes aren't even heavy." Liam said placing the last box on the kitchen floor.

"Nothing is heavy to you." I replied. Liam is currently a trained boxer and partakes in various matches every month. He's won 12 out of the 17 fights he's been in. That's quite impressive if you ask me.

Liam flexed his biceps and smirked. "True."

"Anyways, thanks for the help, Liam." I grinned looking at our apartment.

Our apartment...it feels so good to say that.

"No problem, anything for family." Liam said with a small smile.

"Your room is over here." He pointed to a door on the other side of the kitchen.

The room wasn't too big or too small. It was perfect. I pictured my bed and writing table in one corner, while my piano would be in another.

Funny thing is, I don't even know how to play the piano. It was my grandfather's and he told me it, "belonged in the hands of an artist" before he passed. Which was pretty weird because I have little to no musicality. I could sing a few notes here and there. But it's nothing to throw a parade over.

Liam and I spent an hour fixing my room furniture and unboxing items.

I dusted my hands on my sweats and smiled at the finishing touches.

"Home sweet home." Liam said placing an arm over me.

"Can I invite Louis to celebrate?" I looked at him for confirmation. Louis was my mate from school.

"Yeah, I guess you can. But the minute I see him messing with anything, he's out."

I chuckled. "He's not two, Liam. I'm sure he's capable of not making a mess."

Liam gave me a look.

"Okay, maybe you're right. But it's been two years since you've last seen him. He's changed."

"Yeah, okay." Liam scoffed. I shook my head at him and dialed Louis' number.

"Hello? Who's this?" Louis said on the other end of the phone.

"It's me, Zayn." I said slowly. Did he seriously delete my number?

"Zayn? Oh, I knew a guy named Zayn but he doesn't know how to return phone calls anymore so I just deleted his number."

I sighed not in the mood for Louis' sassiness. "I'm sorry."

"That's cool." Louis said. I pictured the smirk on his face and rolled my eyes.
