Chapter 23- Talking

Ratliff's Point of view

So I actually knew what had happened between Rocky and Jade before Jade explained it to me. I couldn't tell her that Rocky was going to apologize to her onstage. I don't know how she will react to it. I thought about all this as I watched Jade walk away. I feel so bad for her. She's been through a lot. Well, life has its ups and downs. But Jade doesn't deserve to go through all this. I ran up to her and said, "wait" she stopped walking and turned around. I could see that she was cold with all the rain that was pouring down on her.

"I know what Rocky did was wrong, but if you're not going to talk to him about this, then talk to me. I want to help you. Your like a little sister to me," I told her. She smiled and nodded.

We sat on the bench once again. She didn't say anything. She just looked at the ground.

"thanks," was all she said.

"for what?," I asked.

"for being there for me"

"I'll always be there for you. Now come on, say what you really feel. I'm here to listen" she smiled and said, "I understand that Rocky didn't kiss Lucy; I'm kind of okay with that; but the fact that he lied to me is what hurts me the most"

"yeah; he did lie to you; But he did it because he didn't want you to feel upset about him hanging out with another girl. He did it because he loves you. And I'm sure that you would do the same for him, right?," I said.

"well, when you put it that way, I guess. I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you"

"don't thank me. I'm always gonna be here for you. Now are you going to go back to Rocky, or just keep walking?," I asked.

"I cant go back there. He probably hates me right now. I'll stay at a friends house for a few days, then I'll see what happens"

"R5 is having a concert tomorrow night. Can you please come?," I asked her.

"after what you've done for me, of course I'll come," she replied with a smile. She gave me a huge hug.

"I have to go; but like I said, call me if you need me," I told her.

"ok. thanks again," she said, as she walked away.
