Senator Michael Hastings Born and raised in Orland Hills, Michael E. Hastings is a democrat of the Illinois district which includes New Lenox, Lockport, Frankfort Square, University Park, Country Club Hills, Oak Forest, Homer Glen, Mokena etc. Before a senator, Michael E. Hastings worked as an officer in the United States Army and a vice-president of a school board. Michael Hastings Illinois began his public service career by becoming the co-chair of the district's education and finance committees. Hastings earned the master's degree in administration from University of Illinois and also his doctorate degree from the Chicago's John Marshall Law School.

Hastings has done much work for the welfare of people of Illinois. He sponsored Senate Bill which helped in combating pension shortfall. He also co-sponsored the funding for the development of a brand new airport in Peotone. On top of it, Hasting is also pushing the state police and other related agencies to use the vacant Lincoln-Way North high school campus located in Frankfort. The 11- year old school building has plenty of property which can be used to build a new crime lab. The crime lab will generate a lot of positive economic impact for the nearby residents, and it will also help to make the best use of the empty building. Senator Michael Hastings has also planned to convert the 40,000 sqft building into 30-bed psychiatric hospital. There is no hospital that is offering inpatient mental health care for adolescents and children which is why patients get admitted to the hospitals far from the area which makes it difficult for the local people.

Apart from the welfare activities, Michael Hastings Tinley Park is also a great human. Recently he helped a freshman Republican state representative Mike Murphy when he was choking. Hastings performed Heimlich manoeuvre twice on Murphy. Hastings is a former U.S. Army captain who served the country in Iran and Syria. He learned advanced combat lifesaving while in the training which he used to save Murphy when he was choking.
